All Colors of Swift are metallic except Red..
Please let me know, If i buy Red, will this color gets fade away fastly as it is not metallic??
to be frank I have seen the swift red to look dull after a vertain amount of time. Dont know if its the sun or the scratches due to dust particles. You can get a teflon coat done. This will reduce the amount of scratches that would ebe otherwise
Teflon is not recommended if the car is to remain in the sun for long.
can you give in some leads to this statement. Generally most of the dealers/private service centers say that Teflon protects the car color from fading off in the sun and also avoids small scratches. There are chances of the teflon cracking if the car remains in sun for long but thats way to negligible and rare to be thought of when you look at the benefits. Unless you have a covered park every where you drive your car your car remains in the sun only. So teflon coating definitely has the advantage.
You have clearly stated the reason. The cracking. BTW it is not rare and negligible if the car is parked too much in the sun.
the cracking does not happen if the regular maintenance of coats is done(i think once every 6 months). If thats not done then the cost becomes old and sort of peels of. Regular maintenance will avoid it.
Imagine the cost!!!
So, Can I go for Black? I thought, Silver is one the best choice, but there are many silver cars on the road..
Silver is a tension free colour. So the maximum sales is for that colour.
There are other colours to look at Pearl white/Copper.
Dont be tensed with Red if you are ready to pamper it.
thankx for the info Ami, any idea about black
