Top selling cars have always been from small segment - obviously.  It doesn't mean that the top sellers are the best.

Maybe there should be a 'revenue-wise' ranking as well, otherwise there is no parity in the rankings - Chhotu team wins hands down!

Not so long ago, the humble Innova used to make it to the list ahead of the Mahindra UVs, logging 7 to 8 thousand per month.

Yes, I correct myself. Just had a look SIAM figures, Innova has been in top 10 for many months.

But, Steeroid, either I had a look at wrong figures or there is some mismatch in your calculations. According to SIAM data the highest sale that Innova has ever achieved is in the month of March 2008 and the no was 6,235. The second highest no has been 4,650 for May 07. Otherwise the average sale for Innova has been in range of ~3,400 per month.

Completely agree. Let's hope they do not do blunder with their anticipated small car.

My figures are approximations from memory - they could be off.  I havent taken a look at SIAM data recently.

Banwari - do you have access to SIAM data (Official)?  If yes, it would be good to put it together in a logical manner somewhere here for reference (if it isnt already on the site elsewhere).

We are working on the sales figures front. Planning to put the numbers in a way that they are really helpful. We do have official SIAM data, however, SIAM doesn't want the whole data to go online. We are in discussion with them to find some way out.

Even though Spark is selling in great numbers now a days, its not enough for it to get into the top 10 list.

The TBHP report says that it is selling close to 3k pieces a month.
