Your car is new - under warranty.  I trust the rattling noise & the need for some bonnet correction/adjustment wasn't on account of any accident or your fault.  Therefore, the dealer should not have charged anything.  You should report this.

Well, didn't you receive a phone call from Tata/Pune - asking you about how the quality of service etc. was, and to rate the dealer (1-10 points)?  If you haven't received such a call, it means the dealer has not recorded/reported the service/repairs conducted on your car - on the on-line system, as required (mandatory).  That too is inappropriate.  Get the helpline no. or e.-mail ID from Tata website & report/mail.

Yes, they have cheated you, if the rattling was not of your making. Get the money refunded. Do as Pankaj says or You can contact Mr Krishna Kumar, customer support Manager, TML  @ Kochi on 9249510390

They shouldn't charge - the reasoning is... the rattling noise would have surfaced, as some bolt etc. may have gone loose or may have fallen off - that is obviously a workmanship fault (new car).  Like-wise the adjustment of bonnet too was required for no fault of yours.

Please do report - it's important - it will help others as well.

Hi All, Other than AC which I faced earlier, I am facing these new problems with Vista -- 1. There is a ghar ghar sound is coming when I apply brake. 2. There is a ghat ghat sound in front left shock absorber when wheel is over some gadda in the road. 3. There are some plastic components in gear box near the gear lever. Those plastic are broken now. I had to replace them. 4. while changing gear from 1st to 2nd there is speed slow down. Is anyone facing those problems? Could you please give me the cause and solutions. Thanks & Regards. Roy

I hope you are the sole user - it's not being used by many.  As such, such problems should not crop up even otherwise in new car. Get those rectified conclusively - free of cost under warranty (read the above discussion).

Yes Pankaj..sole user in the sense we hired a driver who alone drives our car.

For point no 3 mentioned in my just previus post is making me trouble.

Today, again while doing reverse some thing broke in gear box area. I am not sure which part is broken. Now, we can put only upto 2nd gear. Further gears are not being engaged. Do you have any idea? pls help me.

Thanks & Regards.

Roy

This is unusual - not a minor problem.  Get it checked/rectified immediately - under warranty.

Thanks Pankaj for quick reply.

This is the 2nd time we are repairing the gear box in 2.5 months after buying the new car. My father bought the car and he is very dissapointed.

Is our driver doing anything wrong while driving? He was saying some plastic components are there and those components are breaking everytime.

Thanks.

Roy
