What is the RPM when you re-engage the clutch after the turn?
What I meant was that when the RPM is low (i.e., your foot is not pressing (or lightly pressing) the accelerator) and you try to move the vehicle, since the engine is not producing a lot of torque, it will find it harder to move the car (this is basically felt as a engine shudder when you try to move the car from stand-still without pressing the accel.). In sucha situation as the compressor is an additional load on the engine, the ECU will temporarily disengage the compressor from the engine to reduce load on it - so that max. power is available to move the car.
