The change in 'smoothness' of the drivetrain components could also be due to the oil temperature and also the ambient temperature.

Jaybparikh, Please get the wheel alignment checked as imporper alignment also contribute to hard clutch. This is what the technician told me last time. I am also touching the mileage of 12 kmpl after 10k km service.

Milind, Any TML authorised center will welcome you irrespective of whether you bought the car from them or not. I understand they make more money on servicing/parts than selling cars. Please find a reliable one nearby to you and stick with them. By the way what is the mileage you are getting?

Sorry friends, I couldnt visit the forum for a few days. My dealer has taken up the issue of my car's poor ac (along with that of 4 other cars) with TML. The sevice manager says that the compressor would be replaced if found faulty.

Meanwhile I tried to locate the make of the AC in my car, but couldnt locate it @ the places pointed out in this thread. Any suggestions?

Hi Anil, Just open the bonnet and look underneath. You will find some stickers with R3 Coolant/Refrigerant. There you will find the make also. Please insist for replacement of AC compressor and I have no dount it is faulty. I understand from dealers here that they are replacing ac compressor.

Anil in addition to Venu's post, you can also find the make of the AC below the bonnet lock. Just see through the hole of the lock, you can see the make printed on the ac condenser frame. Even here the dealers are changing the compressor.

I have purchased Tata Indica Vista Saffire Aura about 2 months back and facing few issues with AC. I am not going into performance of AC in Vista Saffire. I have almost read the entire thread and have not found any one complaining like mine. I have observed and found that my AC stops meaning the compressor is automatically switched off when I change gears or reduce my speed using brakes. I have visited the workshop thrice. Recently the sales person from the showroom from where I have purched the car said that its a feature of Vista Saffire sounded bit illogical. I went to the workshop and they said there is no issue in the AC. My question to you all is if any one is facing this issue or is it right that its a vista feature?

AFAIK, the ECU disengages the compressor drive clutch when it detects too much load on the engine (especially at low or idle RPM), Just check and see if you are (inadvertently) creating such a low RPM-high load condition for the engine while you drive or when you change gears. Hard braking can simulate such a condition.

I din't get properly what you meant by "creating such a low RPM-high load condition for the engine while you drive or when you change gears". Can you please explain what is idle RPM.

Normally I drive at speed around 65 - 70 on 5th gear and during that I have noticed that My cars'd rpm is within 2 - 2.5. While taking a turn I reduce the speed to around 40 and the gear status is nutral. After completing the turn when the speed is on 40 or little below 40 I shift to 4th gear. It is now the problem gets replicated.

This seems to be unique problem. I have not experienced so in my Safire. What I experienced is effect of AC is high in 1st or 2 nd gear and sligtly less while constantly driving in 4/5 th gear. But from safety point of view, while driving, especially taking turn, please don't keep in neutral, as it will lead to loss of control in case of unexpected obstacle.

Please report this problem when you are getting feedback call from Pune or lodge a complaint on toll free number
