Vibration is always felt a little more in diesel cars.  It's not an issue at all.

Hey people,

I will never suggest this car to anyone.. Me and my dad took test drive twice in the first week of Aug 09. First during a fine evening when we found the AC to be fine. The next day we went in the afternoon to check the AC as we read reviews and found AC to be not effective at all. Also the Guys in the showroom were not that polite or concerned and MY queries were not answered properly. Also if u people get chance, please go thro the Road Test of this car in Car Wale and in that u can find that the AC is not that effective. No offence meant to any TATA car owners, but I personally feel this is not the best in the market except for some space. Even the service for TATA is not upto the mark nowadays as they are facing the pressure to deliver lots of cars in the service station.

Hi Narasimhan, Warm welcome to CarWale. As per my knowledge/threads in this forum, ac problem is reported mostly on diesel vista especially having "Behr" make ac and heard that Tata is working on this to rectify this problem. But I feel that Tata is taking too long time.

Other than space there are other pluses like good build quality, comfortable ride, stable road grip even at high speeds, VFM, cheaper to maintain, etc. I have been to service center four times so far for routine services and every time I got prompt service and my complaints are attended satisfactorily.

I agree that most of the sales guys at dealers place is neither polite nor knowledgeable but as per my experience it is almost the same across dealership irrespective of makes and there are only few exceptions.

Hi Venu,

Thanks a lot for your welcome . You are correct. Most of the sales guys are not polite and knowledgeable and there are few exceptions. And regarding the service of TATA, may be it differs frm dealer to delaer. I prevoiusly had a Indica n i faced this problem. Also most of the people that I know here are facing problems with that particular dealer here. I did not like the new Indica Vista when compared to the old one and this is my personal opinion. I feel something is missing in it.

I agree that it has a good build quality but i somehow feel that Swift is better in most of the aspects and I like the look of Swift.

Someone in this forum (Sorry I dont remember the name as I went thro all the posts in a short span of time) has said that they are hearing some noises when they cross a hump. Please do check the shockers of the vehicle as I have seen few people change the shockers under warranty.

Hi Narasimhan, I had this noise problem from shock absorber and already replaced under warranty. I reported this under my review thread. Regarding service, I agree it varies from dealer to dealer. But I feel Tata is making sincere efforts to improve the service with call back feed back mechanism after every service. Current example, 2 weeks back I reported rear wiper was making lot of noise and dealer identified it as motor fault and agreed to replace under warranty. But it was not available in their stock and delaer told me that they will arrange within a week's time. I waited for 10 days and then made a call to dealer and he told that motor is not availble with the component supplier and they don't know how much more time it will take. I understand their delaying tactics and immediately called TML Regional Head Mumbai and new motor was arranged within a day

Venu,

I understand that TML is making sincere efforts to improve its service. But I dont understand how a car is passing the qulality and needs so many replacements in the warranty period! I think TML needs to adress this issue at the earliest.

Narasimhan, No doubt that TML is long way to go in implementing stringent quality assurance plan for the components they put in the car. Atleast I am happy that these problems are cropping in the warranty period so that free replacement. It is also good that I have gone for extended warranty period up to 4 years, so nothing to worry for atleast 4 years.

Hi all in the thread. My Vista Sufire is 3 months old and have travelled around 3600KMS. I really love driving my Vista. Whatever issues others are facing but I am okay with my vehicle. I hv checked that my AC is Subros make. It is ok. Though I can't compare it with other vehicle's ac (performance wise). Service response is quite ok.

I often noticed some fluttering sound at right side wheel when clutch is half released and with no sufficient acceleration. Mainly this happens in 2nd gear. I hv still to check this issue. Meanwhile pl advise - One of the TML's service station is close to me but I hv not purchaed my car from them. Whether they will entertain me for certain minor service issues or I hv to travel to one who is about 30KMS from whom I hv purchased it.

Milind, your car is entitled to be serviced/maintained at any dealer / authorised service station.  The one you have bought from may, however, welcome you better (speaking in general).  Get the issue checked - I think the fluttering sound could be of some part (lose contact) arising due to vibration on account of improper use of clutch-acceleration.

Jaybparikh, you may have felt the difference in the behaviour of clutch/gear due to difference in the driving/traffic conditions. Mileage (city) you are deriving is very decent (Ahmedabad traffic).
