Hi friends...

Its the problem of vehicle stability.... You just make the ground clearence(GC) proper ... You peoples are telling that your cars are old one, may be they changed (previous owner) suspensions, if they put local one then there is a increase in Gc...When vehicle crosses 100 km/hr the body resits the air which is coming infront of the car... Due to that reason it vibrates... You make the GC proper... After that you Go for both wheel alignment and balancing.. It will solve your problems.. When the GC very low then there is increase in speed due to this purpose race cars having less GC, when GC becomes low then the resistance for air is low hence the vehicle reaches more speed..

Wheel Balancing :- There are mainly two tyres of vibration because of wheel imbalance .

one is only at steering called Steering shimming. Other is when whole body vibrates called static imbalance. Static is more problamatic.

Solution First to the normal balancing at computerised balancing machine which shows both dynamic and static imbalance. IF its become good well by normal balancing then ok.

Otherwise asked them to do Match mounting( Matching hi point of tyre with low point on rim).

Still there is problem them need to change tyre or some problem with rim.

Please don't mind but thread is still alive Binoy Sir.

I was waiting for the reply though I've got it rectified but still some times the problem persists. With this Ground Clearance funda, i'll check with local hyundai workshop if there is any fault in the GC height.

Can you please also tell me what is the standard GC value for Santro Car. Car's front suspension has also been changed once.

Thanks,

Yogesh

At which speed in new Santro, a bit vibration of steering should be take in normal course? My 8 months old santro steering vibrates a bit around 105 kms. Is it ok?

@Abhi-no problems at all, sometimes few posts are missed and not replied early enough, do 'bump' such threads that you find in-action in.

The normal GC of the Santro is 160mm(165 at different markets!).

@Rajagopal/Manish - no problems

Djp11-steering vibrations can be due to the road surface also. Also the description over the forums would be very subjective. Having had owned a Santro before, i had not felt any sort of vibrations at any speeds on a perfectly surfaced road.
