Had come to know about the issue about a month back from TBHP-its really a sad to see how the Indian customer is treated by a 'foreign car maker'.

It seems the rot goes deep down to the Sokda management in India-as the people running the dealer(which has since closed) seems to be in the Management positions in Sokda India.

There is also a 'threat' to TBHP and all its members for pursuing legal action!

Binoy, if what you say is true, it is shocking! There is usually some wording in the employment contract regarding such involvement in related businesses. This is clearly a major conflict of interest, and a scrupulous company will summarily dismiss guys running with the hares and hunting with the hounds at the same time.

That a country organisation of a multinational like Skoda should be run by a clique in this arbitrary manner is clearly indicative of a total lack of corporate governance at Skoda.

Harish, your experience with Skoda is really shocking and nightmare. You have great courage and determination to fight it out in the court. My moral support is with you. At my personal level, I will continue to warn my friends/colleagues who are thinking of buying Skoda.

Harish, do keep writing & sharing the developments.  We all wish you the very best.

Binoy/Krishna, just to add... as I understand, PR Departments of all car manufacturers go through the various forums.  The feedbacks received are put up to their appropriate authorities and necessary actions (whatever) are initiated as & when deemed fit by them.

Pankaj, I agree PR Dept./some body may go through the forum & report back. But with Skoda, it is really astnoshing, they threaten the forum (TeamBHP) with legal action, instead of tackling the the real issue - improving customer service/ASS.

What I was trying to point out is that the discussions in the forums, public opinion etc. are in the knowledge of the manufacturers & dealers.  And therefore they could track down TBHP & Harish. It's a shame of course (threat).

I guess a Skoda official has replied on the threads mentioned by Binoy.

Then we also can expect a futile threat from them, as they can find here that the value of posts here is more than they find in some other forums. One can see many purchasing decisions here change only based on the inputs from other members . So if we stop recommending Skoda products to other members and to friends outside the forums, Skoda is going to suffer. I do not know why they are afraid of their dealers.
