Sam, good info. Thanks (even when it is against CarWale Policy to have business contacts on the board!)

Tell us what city is this where these conversions were / are/ can be done.

Also 7k sounds a tad steep when all that is needed is two cable opereted linkages to the control pedals. Could you please describe what was done or upload photos if any?

Hi Sam, well converting the ordinary brake to a hand control braking system is not very tough. Like Krishna said 7k is a lil too much. Thanks fr the info thoughSmile

Unlike motor sport..... football, basketball, volleyball, golf, etc. requires just one ball!!

Well, I guess we all are a bit to blame for not suggesting this earlier to Sam, who had opened a thread for assistance in this matter. Sorry about that Sam!

Request the photos so that others with similar need will be helped.

Hi, Good to know your interest.
I am staying in Bangalore, the person who does this is near Banarghatta National Park. Before doing this i checked with the people who does this in Mumbai, Pune, Chennai; after checking all these i found that 7k is the cheapest. In Bangalore also i checked with many other people who does car modification but i found that only this person does this kind of modification. For me this modification was a necessity as i had heel pain, the more i drive the Santro manual (my previous car) the more the pain increased so i was in a little hurry to do this modification.

The modification is, there will be one lever in the left hand side, this lever is attached to the brake , the same lever also has the accelerator like the bike.
I haven't taken the photo of my car modification, but i have a similar photo but i couldn't see option to attach the photo to this thread.

Sam, attaching a photo to the thread is easy -

The site only accepts a URL - website address from where it loads a photo. So you upload it on a photo sharing site or CarWale album, and copy the webpage address for the photo.

Then write your post, and click the 5th icon from the right on the top toolbar of the quick reply textbox (where you write your post). A dialog box opens. Paste your webpage address of the photo in it, adjust some parameters like photo size in pixels, and say OK (or whatever the dialog takes to accept input). Voila! you have embedded a photo in the post. Then submit as usual, and you get the photo up in the thread.

I am really interested in seeing what is done. So please upload the photos.

Actually my brother is a handicapped person and he can't move his right leg due to paralysis. Lt. leg and both the hands are absolutely healthy and fine. He badly needs to drive a car of his own for his better mobility. Suggest a suitable option/available modification so that he can drive a car safely. I am really happy to see the modification of the car with hand operated brake and accelerator and you mentioned that your car is working safe and fine. Is this kind of modification available anywhere in Kanpur??? We stay at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Please suggest something so that I can be able to provide him with better mobility and self-sufficiency. Waiting with lot of hopes from your answer.

Really thanks a lot for your kind support. But I wonder whether that expert will help to modify the same coming here at Kanpur from Mumbai. Anyway, I will contact the person immediately and let you know if any further information/feedback necessary.
