I've just bought a FIAT LINEA-ACTIVE DIESEL,FLAMENCO RED,first word,it's awesome, pure value for money,it's very stylish, with an upmarket Audish grille, huge, good looking head lights and a sweet looking tail lamp cluster,it's curves and lines remind you of an art, interiors are well laid too,but i would have preferred a grey plastic interior rather than a black one,no grudges though. The car is built like it will last a few wars, one can understand the ruggedness of the build when one realizes that a LINEA weighs more than even a Honda civic,it is the longest car in the sub 15 lakhs rupees category, longer than a civic, corolla, optra, octavia and even a jetta, even the whell base is longer than most of these cars, now one realizes how much overprized the other cars are.The paint job is brilliant, with the metallic flamenco red shining and glistening.Even the wheel caps are good looking, giving the wheels an alloy wheel look, the boot is huge with a massive 500 litres luggage space, the steering wheel is nicely crafted wirh ridges to have a nice grip, the car has a hude road presence and with wide wheels, is planted firmly well

thanks ami, surya, pankaj, krishna and others for your wishes

yeah,the main movie definitely follows....

after admiring the car from every possible angle, relishing it's beauty, when one gets inside the car,he is greeted by a warm and solid thud of the door closing that can be found only in Fiat cars, the fascia is neat and well laid out,the silver line that runs accross the dashboard exudes class, the same can not be said about the quality of plastics though, cost cutting clealrly evident with the dark black plastic, can be excused though. The dual tone-beige and black finish exudes class. The AC vents are simple and functional, all the switches fall well in place and are neatly laid, but why dont European car manufacturers modify the the light and other controls in the steering and bring it to the right??,this is a question all the European manufacturers have to adress, the indicator light control and other nobs are placed in the left, which has been carried over from European models without modification. The door pads are neat and huge, but useable storage space is missing in the doors. The front wind screen slopes forward like a sports car liberating a lot of space inside the car, giving the cabin a huge feeling of huge space, space for the front passengers is ample, the same can not be said about the rear seat space though, here it becomes evident that LINEA is only a hatch stretched with a boot attached, the rear leg space with the front seats pushed back fully is just about adequate, nothing to rave about and the sloping roof at the back will rub of the hair do of six footers in the rear seats.

to be continued......

Well it is common to american cars also like Ford. I think it is like that in Middle east also, coz I found my dad facing the problem in our swift.

Here we are more used to having it on the right side but it's just a matter of getting used it to.  It may cause a little inconvenience only if we happen to drive more than one car regularly / quite often.

After getting accustomed to the feel oh the interiors, when the ignition is started,a definite diesel clatter greets you,its noisy, but when the car crosses a speed of about 20km/hr,the noise dissapears, only if the windows are rolled down and the A/C switched off. With the A/C on and the windows rolled up,the engine is definitely noisy, gets annoying beyond a point,it may be a few decibels quiter than an Innova or the Fabia, but the car is definitely noisier than it's own siblings palio and sienna, even the palio multijet, with the same engine is significantly quiter,so it's a huge dissapointment from Fiat, which has to do some thing about the noise insulation, since the initial euphoric bookings might soon dry up.There are two ways to keep off the noise, one can switch off the A/C or keep the speed limit within 80km/hr when the engine is silent,i opted for the former option.

The drive is smooth, with a linear accelaration,it's a pleasure to drive,no initial turbo lag at all,as mentioned by few others, the car keeps its posture and line, one can take off the hand from the steering, the car carries in the same steady line.It doesnt feel like a diesel car at all, with enough power, despite the engine being only 1250 cc one

to be conitnued...
