Hi,

I've been waiting for the delivery of my linea since quite some time. I have decided to wait for a week more and then escalate. The dealer is not so responsive.  Can anybody tell me who I should contact in Fiat/ Tata motors ? Some contact info will be really helpful.

I had booked my Linea in August starting and had given a date in Sept last for delivery while booking but then was not able to get it on time. It was delivered about 10 days later.

I had to talk with the Marketing person incharge of Mumbai for the Fiat as well as the Tata marketing person to get it in 10 days time. I  don't know how much late it would have been if I had not called them up. I also had to threaten the Dealer for fast forwarding my delivery of the vehicle. Better you get in touch with the officials and also get in touch with the dealers.

I had contacted Mr. Balaji, Marketing Manager Tata. He is incharge of delivering the vehicle to the Dealer in this region. You can contact similar person in Delhi. You can get the name and phone number from Tat website. From Fiat I contacted Mr. Ashish Bhardwaj, Marketing Manager, at Mumbai. May be the Person incharge of Delhi is different. You can get this info from the fiat site.

Also donot forget to friendly persuade the Dealer for early delivery. In my case it seemed to me that the dealer was also trying to fool me!

Also put the hand-brakes on.  Diesel smell shouldn't apparently be there - get it checked.

neither the hand brake nor was the gear on when the car was parked

Bala: While parking the car, always, apply the hand-brake fully.  Also, engage gear in such a way that if the road/ground slopes down in front of you, operate the reverse gear; if it is uphill, first gear.  That will be a double security!

that was a nice, usefull piece of information ravi, but ive also read and also have experienced with our cielo 6 years back that when parked with handbrakes on,at times the brakes get jammed and it would be impossible to move the car,so thought, parking with only gears applied would be sufficient

I had gone to the Dealers today for getting the roof antennae fixed in my Linea Dynamic. I got the information that in some cars the Clutch assembly was faulty and the Company was changing it free of cost. Thankfully my car was not in the list. As far as I could see that most of the cars were having the GPZ VIN nos. But all please do confirm with the dealers.

thanks ranjan for that information, even i was actually thinking to call the ASS and enquire, what does GPZ indicate???,my linea was delivered on 9th march, one linea,i knew had this problem was bought in october, surely,it would have been better if FIAT had done something to pre empt this problem and made sure that all the lineas delivered were glitch free,i suddenly begin to become suspicious of several calls made by the ASS enquiring me about the perfromance and actually asking me to bring the car for free service, when it was not due and was not necessary, was it to change the CSC???,if so they could have told me straight,in plain words and i would have taken the car to them

i did not expect this from FIAT

(i can only take consolation, that even my earlier SWIFT broke down and stalled on a highway, immediately after service, simply because the guys at the service station did not fix the accelarator cable properly),imagine,a new manza delivered, had the starter motor defective and the car could not be startedInnocent,so it happens............Frown
