Hi Jay

My dealer quoted as follows:

seat cover 4500 (says original TATA - beige colour)

4170 security system 4500 (I saw the MRP on the cover as 3900!!!!!)

teflon coating 4000

Basic accessories (mud flaps, steering grip & mat set) - 1100

I suggest you dont buy from the dealer.

but actually cheque is issued to dealer with 25k for the accessories. so i have to purchase it.

and  i am thinking that i should only go for ice from the dealer as it will be genuine with the b/w. and yes even with  outsider the price is not so differrent for ice with b/w. any furthure suggetion on that.

Hi Jay,

Congratulations on your new Vista Safire (mine is also the same). As you are struck with dealer due to finance, it is better to buy ICE from them, if there is not much of difference. Price of other accessories looks higher than market. Please try to negotiate.

By the way, if you wish, you can get a fresh quotation from outside accessory shop & request the bank to issue a fresh cheque accordingly.  Bank should not have any reservation in doing so.  You can tell them the fact that the prices quoted by the dealer are higher & therefore the change in the plans. This will also enable you to save a little or purchase a couple of accessories more.

Though I'm not very conversant with accessory items, it would cost you around 20% less from outside.  Only ensure that you get it done from a good & reliable shop.  Workmanship will not be a problem, as they have the required expertise (sell/fit more than the dealers do).

@Jay

-seat cover prices are exhorbitant

-6050 2-Din price is about 2K more than market price

-the 608 component price is good

-the 637 price is .8-1K more than outside prices

-the reverse guide system price also is good-but please specify the brand and the number of sensor units used.

-security system is definitly over priced.

-teflon and neck pillow is ok.

Jai, you now have all the reasons (Binoy's post above) to re-approach the bank (post #5 above).  Believe me, it's not a big deal.

JBL 608 and 637? Fitting 6 inchers in the vista doors is not easy, and you may not get a good fit
