my recommend for 3000k. look like regular bulbs, but lot more light. white is useless in rains.

cheapest - buy from us if you have friends there. you can get chinese stuff here , but quality is a question mark

Mangalore might get a lot of rain and fog, 'white temp' lamps will be more of an irritant in these conditions as the penetration for the lights will be poor.

As greenhorn suggested stick more towards the yellow temps.

Haven't followed the whole thread, quite big.

Go for good lights. HID (XENON) are the future but are too expensive as of now. No point going for just whites. I'd recommend you replace the stock 55 - whatever with 90W but that's about it. We should be very careful about effect of our lights on other drivers.

And please please, don't buy the cheap XENON's that come without a reputed brand. They are bad for other motorists and the cops have all the rights to fine you based on their judgement.

Also, a seller tells me the regular yellow improves visibility better than the regular white.

XENONs are a different animal. They create day for you

Btw....what's wrong with yellow? In my view, if your car came with Xenons, good enough, else get the 90W, which are more than enough.

Driving high beam is dangerous to other motorists and that's the reason it shows on your dashboard. Please take it seriously.

i thought of going for hid kit.

1.which emits more whitish light 5000k o 6000k?

2.what is single beam, hi/low and bi-xenon hid, which suits the swift among these 3?

Xenon bulbs do not have filaments-rather they have a gas that discharges light in a single spectral range(like 3000-8000+ kelvin temp).

6000k will be more white bule.

Bi-xenon bulbs are extremely expensive, once you convert the swift main bulbs to HID-there is no low or high beam-just a single beam with its std color temperature.
