Mine is essential vision and it is white. (According to my eyes.) Plus the visibility is very good.

I've heard extreme vision is better. Go to the shop at night at test the lights. I am sure they would let you check it.

Thanks Ami. Is there a catalog where I can see the products (like for phlips). I checked on the below link but coudn't find essential vision or exterme vision in there.

http://www.lighting.philips.com/us_en/automotive/consumer_products/index.php?main=us_en_automotive&parent=0&id=&lang=en

Also are there different bulbs for high and low beams? In my accent i had only got 2 bulbs changed (one for each headlight).

As I said earlier in my parking mode, the light is still yellow

You were looking in the US website.

Here is the indian website. I couldn't find the auto lighting section there.

I googled and found this link on TBHP. Lengthy one, but might help you.

The parking lights might not have been changed, that must be why the yellow light is present.

I would still say go to the shop at night and ask for demo. That would be the best option out.

Thanks mate. I agree the best option would be to see a real demo.. but unfortounately not all accessories guys have all brands. and I am consused between the crystal visions, diamond visions, vison plus and extra power (plus the one you mentioned i.e. essential vision). Which of these are whites and have good light.. and the most imp.. which are available. read that a lot of fakes are also available. so totally confused.

Anyways, left with no option I will again go to dealers and have a first hand experience and report back.

I already have spent 600 bucks on so called top korean brand (eagleye) and am totally dissatisfied..

Folks,

An update. Finally decided to take a real test again and went to a lot of accesores shops.  unfortunately most of them did not have Philps in stock . Had osrams and halonix.

- Tried Osram nightbreaker and extra white (nightbreaker was yellowish but extra white was a bit white).. price 900 for a pair (without the parking bulbs)

- Halonix has a white bulb as well. very cheap.. about 170 bucks per bulb.. but does not come in H4 i.e. 55/60.. only 90/100 so relay would have been required.

- Finally found philips range on one of the retail shops for bulbs. Extereme vision again was H7 (90/100) . Only Crytal vision and Diamond vision were H4 (price 800 and 900 for a pair respectively). he was out of stock for diamond vision so got cryrtal vision (800 for a pair of headlight bulbs and 2 parking lights as well).

I must say the light is quite accetable and is white and bright enough.. Diamond vision i was told was a blue tone which I was not wanting so csyrtal looks good enough. only flip side, I think the spread is not good on long roads especially on sides. but otherwise is good.. guess that has to be there otherwise HID would not hold its place

But I still can't believe that I bought a crap local pair (that korean brand) for 700 bucks.. !!!  guess sometimes everybody is taken for a ride. !! I now have 3 pairs of bulbs though.. OEM, korean brand and philips crystal vision.

Thanks guys for your help as always (though I missed Binoy's comments this time around ). !! I guess I can now have a word or 2 to share for people looking for white lights

I am glad now. This is the right way to choose any accessory. Test it in real. That would leave no room for error. Reasons being that these stuffs are more personal.

Not all korean stuffs are bad. Recently my friend got one for his bike. It cost him some 200 bucks. The visibility offered was good with a blue tint. Another friend did the same, different korean brand. He was not lucky though. So I would it 'Luck by Chance'

Ha Ha.. well said Ami.. It surely is luck by chance !! And I got unlucky with my korean brand. (to be fair it is not that bad.. has a blue tint and just about average light but may be I expected too much and then the cost !!). Anyways I am glad that now I have a pair that I am confortable with and I know if I have to change which one to go for..

On the ironical side, the dealer who gave me those korean brand for 600 will now lose 2100 (since I had almost finalised my spoiler with him) !!

BTW, congrats buddy, just noted that you are the MoM again .. great work Ami.. you surely are a champ here.. !!

Sure fellas will do that.. the first hand review I've already provided earlier.

Basically the light both white and bright is what I can say.. It is quite accetable..But if you compare it with Diamond vision which has a blue tint it looks somewhat pale but is def white.

the intensity both low and hig beam is good. But the parking bulbs are very low in light (but they aren't meant to give light.. aren't they? )

Only flip side, I think the spread is not good on long roads especially on sides. but otherwise is good.. guess that has to be there otherwise HID would not hold its place
