Hi All,

I m planning to get install a remote central locking system for i10. I enquired with the dealer, he is giving me a Hyundai owned locking system and quoted 4200. Its a 3 yrs warranty.

Outside Xenos is a lifetime warranty for 4200.

Which should i go for ? I m getting the car delivery tomorrow. Please suggest me.

Go with the Hyundai max(dealer) as the price quoted is good and the same is quite reliable and there wont be any warranty related issues.

These systems are quite robust so reliability wont be a problem.

But, Xenos is giving me a lifetime warranty. Is that not good ?

Look clarify urself on lifetime warranty. These term often misguides us.

Plz calrify the terms & meaning of lifetime warranty from xenos.

It will help all of us.

The price for Hyndai Max is really good i.e Rs 4200.I think u sud go for it.It is euipped wid Immobiliser functionality..

Warranty for remote locking is one thing and warranty of the car is another-by fitting the same from outside there is a risk of loosing thr warranty on the car!

Moreover as Kartik has mentioned the price quoted by the dealer is quite good.

Most 'life time' warranties cover only limited components-like the remote and the actuators.

xenos is a very good brand to go for.do check what is covered in warranty coz certain important things will have warranty for limited time. tell the outside dealer to show you the warranty manual and read the terms and condition and then decide whether the life time warranty is worth it or not

Hyundai max(with immobilizer) is available at most Hyundai dealers and i guess the price is around 4.5K for the same.

Dont worry if my memory is correct the 'Hyundai' branded systems are actually made by Autocop so will be quality products.

6000 is sky high...

confirm it wid other dealers..

i got it for Rs 4200 in delhi from the dealer i purchased the car.

i dnt knw that whether the prices are high in Mmbia or not.

It would be better for you to ask from few more Hyundai Dealers(if your car delaer is quoting 6000).There must be a Official Hyundai Showrum in Mumbai(i suppose) like Hyundai Motor Plaza is in Delhi.
