I have a Ford Fiesta Zxi TDCI. The car has inbuilt central locking and remote locking facility. I want to integrate an anit theft alarm to the car. But upon checking with Ford dealer, they told me there is no such option available and I should just stay contended with the existing stuff. They also ruled out the option of fitting a gear lock. So the only option for me is to fit an immobilizer. Can some one advise what is the best feasible option?

Also I checked with one accessories shop about anti theft alarm and immobilizer. They sounded helpless and advised me to check with dealer itself.

Now I am wondering if my requirement is that much strange!!

Waiting for expert opinion...

You can choose an after market remote locking solution.

Xenos 250 and 350 are the options.

Both come with immobilizer and the latter with body sensor in addition to it.

Hi Ameen,

So that would require the removal of existing central locking system (factory fitted) rt?

Regards,

Sinu.

Are you talking about the key immobiliser or the one which raises an a;larm when the car is moved?

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just ran out of talent!

As I understand, fitting alarm would require removal of existing factory fitted central locking. Hence this doesn't sound like a gud option. So my next alternative is to look for key immobilizer (I am not sure whether that also would require removal of factory fitted central locking).

Lemme clarify,

Security system will have alarm with it and remote locking. (immobilizer is an optional feature).

So when you keep an immobilizer based system you will get remote locking and alarm along with it.

Hope it is a lil clear now.

Look for the former option first. Wink
