VISIT TO THE ABU DHABI MOTORSHOW 2008

Guys i was lucky enough to visit the Abu Dhabi motorshow in UAE.

It was Awesome-a petrol heads dream come true!!

Show highlights were

-the Renault Formula 1 racing car(to touch the thing was something else!!)

-the worlds fastest car-the Shelby Ultimate Aero-all of 412kmph!!(goodbye veyron).

-the Nissan GTR

-the Taramontana racer

-a lambo police car!! etc


Concerning us

-got a good look at the Cruze/new Logan and Innova, will post pictures soon.

Chevrolet Cruze

The car looks impressive from the front-not that great from the back.

Instrumentation and design of the interiors are outstanding!

Front seats are extreamly comfortable-quality of interiors similar to the Altis

Rear seat-i was dissapointed!!there is nothing extra ordinary here

so over all good-does not decimate the competition i guess-and it will be hard to sell both the optra and the cruze together as they are not that different.(maybe the optra will be sold for a healthy discount a la the Ikon).

Surely its a grounds up platform-but guess the Altis amd the Civic wont be that worried.

The 'STAR' of the show was the Shelby Ultimate Aero-The fastest car in the world-at 412kmph

yes  its faster than a veyron-price not available-but its around 5 crores!!

The Cadillac Escalade has always been a personal favorite!!

So when they launched the 'Platinum version'-i wondered what more they could do with a super luxury full size SUV-then looking closely realised that its all in the detailing-have a look at the headlamps

-7 projector beam HID lamps-and one with the 'Cadillac' logo on the lens!!

Look at the upper most 'bulb location' for the logo-the lights are not turned on but show the reflection of the flash.
