I meant head 2 head comparison at the same time and under same circumstances. This can give you a better idea.

Here is the TD report for Jetta.

Here is the comparison on the above mentioned cars.

Power is more in Altis. (30Ps difference). It does match with the civic.

I cant comment much on driving as I haven't driven the Jetta.

Features wise Altis is a better packaging.

TD both the vehicles and decide. If I were to decide then my vote would be with Altis.

I haven't driven jetta but I did see it on the roads. As far as looks are concerned I give Jetta atleast 9 outta 10.

@ ansh,

altis A/T is much better than the jetta as it is more powerful, more spacious & comfortable & there are more features too.

i had driven the jetta & had also sit at back & dint feel the rear seat that comfortable whereas altis is damn comfortable & spacious too.

actually i was also in the same confusion taht which car to go for altis or jetta but than finall got the altis AT for my uncle. it is a very good car, has much responsive engine & gearbox specially the AT & is a great value for money.

& after the 4% excise cut altis has become almost 40k cheaper.

& for jetta maintainance is also on the higher side.

@ rishita,

i would suggest u go with the altis & the reasons i have stated above.

civic is good but is too low & when car is with full load it comes more down whereas in altis there is no such issue & i felt it better than the civic, in driving pleasure wise also.

jetta diesel is good but not that comfortable at the rear & is high on maintainance too.
