Are there any reverse parking sensors which do not require drilling in the bumper ?

I am planning to fit a 6-sensor parking assistant for my new verna. I have heard about reverse sensors with human voice allert instead of the beap sound. I hope this may help us to get an idea of distance from all the side, like rear, rear -left, rear -right, front-left, front right etc.

Experianced users please comment which one is better

1) A human voice based system

OR

2) A beep based system.

A beep based system would be a personal preference.

There will be a display for the sensor which shows the distance and the sensor that is actively detecting the obstracle.

6 sensors might be overkill on the verna.

Hi,

I'm planning to buy my first car, most likely a Chevy Spark 1.0 LS LPG. If I go for a 4-sensor type with IRVM, will my Factory-fit Day & Night IRVM need to be replaced? If so, would it be a loss? Can I get a Parking Sensor with D&N IRVM? If not, can I ask the dealer for a 'discount' Wink for the replacement?

Regards,

Ajanth.

IMO Spark being a hatchback, doesn't actually require reverse sensors. If demanded, IVRM would be handed over to you by the dealership guys after replacement. since D&N IVRM is very slow moving spare parts, I dont think they would give any discounts if you ask them to retain your IVRM.  More experienced Binoy would shed more light on this.

Never mind what others say, do whats right for that moment!

@ Ajant,

The IRVM provided along with the sensor system will be having LED/LCD. It will be fixed above the stock IRVM using clips which can be installed easily. Even though your stock IRVM is not replaced, it will be of no use after installation of sensor system.

The IRVM coming with sensor are wider and better than the stock in most of the models.
