Costs range from 2.5K to 3K for good systems(Xenos a subunit of Pricol makes the best among them).

Having used it for the past 2.5 months i can without doubt say that it is very useful.

-after installing the system the ORVM and the display is all that is needed to park the car.

-there are no mounting difficulties at all - only that the new bumper will have to be drilled!

-costlier models come with a camera-prices start from 6.5K

@ Binoy : Is it the same thing called " Reverse Parking Sensor" .

After reading the complete thread what I have understood that this system consists of

1-LCD Screen(Optional)

2-Camera on the bumber side

3-Sensors on back

Infact I also wanted to fitted in my new I10-Sportz , Can you suggest some suitable system

@Pradeep

Yes, it is reverse parking sensor

The reverse parking assist with camera will definitely have LCD screen. Usually camera and sensors are not installed together, eventhough nothing wrong in it.

Reverse park sensor will have sensors fitted in bumpers and the indicator will be in IVRM. In MGA it is a small LED screen which can be sticked to the dash. If IVRM s are having LCD screen in the centre (as in case of Binoy's) a graphical representation will also be there.

You can live in your car, but you can't drive your house.

It Means there are two options

1- Reverse Parking sensor with indication on IVRM-> this will be cheaper But you cannot get the view of obstacle

2-Reverse Parking sensor with indication on IVRM + Reverse Camera and LCD screen on Dashboard

Is there anyother option available

What is MGA?

You have mentioned LED Screen , It is typing mistake (LCD Screen)

What will be approx price for Option-1 and Option-2

Since mine is new car I want to avoid it Scratches on Back side But At the same time budget is also tight.

You have another option only camera and LCD screen.

MGA - Maruti Genuine Accessories. Sorry that I got confused with Aditya's and Yours query. Yours is i10, so it is not for you.

Go to page 1 of this thread, and you will get a clear visual idea regarding difference between LED and LCD displays.

The approx prices are also mentioned there.

Don't worry about scratches. Only holes will be drilled and the sensors cover it.

And are you sure rear vision in i10 is that much bad compared to DZire or Ford Ikon? Most of the sensors I have seen are installed in sedans.

Rear Vision is not bad in i10, But just for safety purpose of car , I am thinking about this option and one more thing I am not good in driving , So I dont want to hit my car on the back

Here I have a opinion. I have placed sensors slightly close to the sides. This sometimes gives false trigger as the side walls are sensed. So I feel we should not move sensors more to the sides as it may show distence as .5 when actually the back gap is more than 2 meters if the side walls are closer. So a optimum lateral shift is to be maintained.

-sides were never a problem for me as the ORVM's take care of that.

-personally would like the sensors more outward so that the car being revered out of a garage will have added buffer for an obstacle(like a bicycle) coming from the side.

In that case you can go for a simple Xenos one. It would cost around 3k. How is the display and how are the features I hope you have already gone through it.

Installing a camera only wont help as there wont be any info on distance nor will there be any proximity warning.

By the way this is what is done in my car:

the outwardly spaced sensors detect movement from the corners-like people walking across the rear of the car-also the separation from the middle sensors are better with this distance in my experience.

the display is a ;hybrid' of the pure LED in Feroz's setup and a LCD-so the individual sensors are displayed at once(there by showing the inactive ones also)

-the reverse sensors(4 unit) come with the above screen and costs 2.8k to 3K

-the blubs on the dzire are good enough for night time driving.
