i hv never done it that way .......... many of my aquaintainces hv maruti lpg cng cars ... they nvr do it that way ............... i hv nvr ever learnt of any tangible plausible reason .. why it shud b done that way .. except perhaps in carbo cars

back to square 1 .................. shoroom ppl seem to hv 2 heal all solutions ...................... drive on petrol few kms everyday ............ shut off on petrol everyday

they might as well add ........ if there r any kms still left to drive ............ u cud consider driving on lpg/cngLaughing

Hi All

I have the New Spark LPG. I guess you people might be aware of the working of the LPG kit the Spark comes with.

Firstly, the Spark LPG comes with the Sequential injection kit from BRC.

Even if the car is in LPG mode, it always starts on Petrol and automatically switches over to LPG once the engine temperature reaches 55 degrees. This always happens within 1km of driving. At the same time, when you stop and start again with temperatures more than 55, it will start in Petrol and switch over to LPG with  delay of 2 seconds.

My usage is 15 kms per day in city with frequent long drives. I've clocked 6200 kms with more than 90% on LPG and the car performs really well.

Also, the major posative in this kit is that there is no difference in performance between LPG and Petrol.

Hence, i strongly believe that driving in petrol for few kilometers will hardly have any impact.

Again, i may be wrong here as the technology varies among kits. Please correcte me if i'm wrong.

Well, that being the case, i guess it will be better off if you drive those 10kms in Petrol.

Hello Ravi.

Using you car SNATRO on LPG will not at all effect any sensors on engines because LPG is not killing sensors unless it is perfictly set on gas it should be properly set for air and fuel ratio if it is too rich or too lean on gas it will come up with engine management light on dashboard which you can check by OBD scanner where the actual problem or you can take your car to service centre fr check up

thank you
