While test driving  a Hyundai i10 in sun, it was disturbing to have the beige colour dashboard reflection on the windscreen.

Any suggestions/workarounds to avoid this problem?

Is hyundai planning to rectify this problem in near future by having a grey/dark dashboard top like in Verna and other cars?

Nothing to be done-unlikely for a dual tone dash to be offered.

Is is that problamatic?? Alternatively, you can put the dark grey/cream fur cover on the dash - it will make the ac more effective by not getting hot in sun. Sometimes, the front passengers suddenly feel the heat of Dashboard in sun. However, it will totally spoil the interiors looks of the car.

I recently purchased i10 and i feel that glare on windscreen due to the beige interiors are a big problem when driving in the sun. Can some thing be done to resolve  this without compromising on the looks of the interiors? Is there some thing like anti-glare film/coating?

It is pretty irritating and dangerous at times, since reflection is almost blindening.

I'm planing to put a dark shaded cloth (may be embroiderd one) on dashboard.

Yeah as indicated by Prashant put a dark shaded cloth.

When i purchased,i wrote a mail to hyundai regarding this. They forwarded it to the Deep Hyundai. The MD called me & convinced me it's not the car problem. It's with this color

He also said he had checked my windshield for sum defective mirror.Beause sum i10 had that problem. You can atmost go ur dealer  have it checked.

This car was not only made for India but for the whole world.

Indeed Hyundai has made a mistake with Beige color.

But  believe me,after one month u will get used to it.Just try to get this thing out of ur mind.I also did the same thing.

Also,i would lke to tell u what my dealer said.He offered me to change the entire Beige color dashboard with a Black colored one.But then i denied.

So,just remain calm.dnt worry.I have been driving i10 for one yr.Now this problem doesnt hinder me anymore. or else i have washed it from my thinking mind.Smile

Lucky you Kartik ! I've been driving i10 for 1.6 years but still it bothers me Foot in mouth .

On my way to office daily, i've to drive through a strech of road with trees on both sides of road and believe me I can't see anything in front due to branches reflecting all over the windscreen.

It feels like a poster is pasted on the glass and vision becomes all zig-zaged!!

Have not taken any action just out of laziness.

Beige dashboards do cause reflection on the windscreens (all cars).  You have to reconcile/live with it (like Kartik does) or place some cover over it.

I agree with Prashant. I have also driven the i10 for a year now, but still can't get used to the reflection. Its really irritating and dangerous also.

I wrote to Hyundai about this. But the only solution they are giving is providing dashboard cover. But this surely will spoil the looks. Only tourist cars use dashboard covers.

Have you seen other cars with beige interiors? At least the portion of dashboard near windscreen is given in a darker shade. Wonder how Hyundai could overlook this?

Well, dashboard reflection is not unique to i10 - I guess its there in other cars as well (my Santro too has this "problem"). However the solution is very simple - Polaroid sunglasses, it virtually eliminates all reflection and glare - though effective only in daytime. At night sunglasses are a risky thing to wear.
