Reconfirming on the stuffs
Dealer:
PUC matting - 1600
Antirust (Any brands, How much did it cost you)-mine was 3M-ask for dinitrinol(thats the research chemical name)
Steering Covers(any tips) - Free-fabric would be better-as art leather tends to get hot when car is parked in the sun.
Mats - Free
Mud Flaps - Free

From Outside
Autocop/Xenos(With window relay) - Cost - ??-2.5-4K-not sure of the current prices
Mention Price with and without motion sensor.
Reverse Parking(color coded) - 2.5-3k
Side and rear windows(3M steel Series) - 3k
Front Wind shield(3M air75) - Cost - ??-5K with bill and warranty

Audio
Wires(Scoshe) - Cost - 2000 (From what you have said)
Amplifier - Give me the/your rank list. I think it would be 'JBL GTO1004' - yes i would the rate the 1004 first

Wheels/Tires:
Alloys: 5.5J/ 14 inches (Any more detail required here)-none i guess look for 6J rather than 5.5J
Tires: 185/70/R14 Michelin XM1 - 3500/Tire

Have we missed anything........

seat covers?

Total area of side windows+back glass would be far far higher than the front one. I think it is because of the material used for the front glass that makes the difference. (Correct me if I am wrong)-its a single film-rather than the strips that are used on the rear windshield-also you are correct.

Planning to do all the setup from coimbatore. Any shops, streets, locations or ppl you know over there.-sorry cant help you here!

Seat covers:
I liked the perforated art leathers you suggested. I am taking a White swift. Which colors would you suggest for the seat. The cost would be 4-5k(Is it??).

I liked(rather loved) your floor mats. any idea on what maruti guys would provide.
BTW I am also taking it from Indus.

Any suggestions on horn. Cost & Brand(I just want it to be loud enough).

Could you put a post on team-bhp.com about car decors/tire & alloy dealers in Coimbatore. Please ask them for location and preference. I dont have access. Please Please Please. I hope you understand my desperation.

Your Article:
I read each every line of it. I loved the detailing. It had the emotion of a father getting a baby(Forgive me if this is an exaggeration). The level of detailing was awesome, in lines of how I suggest and overlook laptop/system configuration for my friends. I see that u have been content with the stock audio and have not changed anything in it. Over and out for the time being. Pinne doctore I saw you(except face )

Wheels:
What tire size would go with 6J(Hope I would get XM1 with this). Initially u said ride quality the ride quality would suffer if I am to use 6J. I checked couple of sites, they only show 6J's. How much FE cut to be anticipated here.

MDF/Board:
What material is to be used for placing the speaker. Would the regular parcel tray suffice. My friend had something installed, which the shop keeper called the plank(I think plywood). That stuff didn't last long. It started bending after the first year. Suggest me something durable. Or should I go for carpeted boxes by sacrificing boot space.

Seat covers-the idea was to brighten the interiors-as its rather dark in the Swift series-another reason was that dark art-leather seat covers tend to get more hotter in the summers. I personally like the Beige with Black/slate grey(my personal fav-but hard to get)/mahogony(dark brown)-the design is absolutely a personal thing.

Mats-Indus gives fabric mats-quite useless when wet-as it stinks! The mats costs1K for me.

Horn-two types-minister type/skoda type(this is how the dealer describes them!-but quite explanatory)-i choose the Skoda type-Bosch or Roots are nice-windtone super is a good model-cost is 450 for a pair-relay will be 250.

will put the query

thanks for the kind words on the article.

The 185/70/14 will easily go with 6J wheels-the maruti alloys are 5.5J-actually there are more options in 6J size-dont worry about drop in mileage(0.5-1kmpl)-practically you wont notice.

The 'plank' is the MDF board-which is a Multi density form -has to be atleast 3/4" thickness to support the rear speakers-dont put them in boxes. While fixing the front speakers also make sure that the installer uses a MDF ring as otherwise the sound stage wont be perfect.

delivery is 3 days away right-keep posting.

Team-bhp:

Thanks a tonne for the post. Please ask that person about the other stuffs which include
Seat covers
Alloys
Tires
Reverse parking sensor
Cooling film
Floor mats
Horns
etc.............

I want to finish everything in one go. Please post this query. I wonder why my membership is getting delayed.

Audio:
Will the bending not happen if I put the thickness you have specified.
Where should I put the component, on the dash or on the door??
Which should  be rank 2 for amp.
I need only take care of amplifier wire right?? Shall I proceed with the normal wire that they give.

Autocop:
Should I have it done from TCR or Coimbatore.(Answer based on price and service- priority).

Seat Covers:
The the choices that u have given me are the ones that I had in mind. I will leave the last choice to Umma.

Amplifier:
Shall I source the amplifier from Bangalore, like I have done for the rest if the ICE. Or will it be available in coimbatore. One vendor It seems doesn't have it and he is recommending JBL 604 instead.

Ameen

-use the 3/4 " MDF and it wont bend
-the midrange will go in the stock position on the door-the tweeter in the OVRM trim and the crossover under the dash(this is a personal preferance).

-alpines would be rank 2

-power cables and pre-out cables also(intercomponent cables)

-autocop better get it done at combi as autocop offers an all india warranty

-if possible source from Blore as the 1004 is a 2008 spec unit

About the post-Ameen i think its against the spirit of CarWale to cross post with another forum-so i wont be posting any more questions there-they have already provided a lot of info-get the phone and call and find out-hope you understand.

I got the price from bangalore. JBL 1004 costs 9500 (w/o b/w), add another 2k for b/w.Which one to take. I think I shall source it from bangalore so as to avoid risk.

I called up the vendor he has scoshe cables and almost all the stuffs except tires(which I think is expected). Also, the only alloy wheels they have is Aura.
So rest is assured.

Sorry for pushing you. I am out of my senses. All I can think is getting the car deals done.

Do I need to do any booking. My friend was mentioning about it. How much is the total time you estimate for the whole stuff to be completed.

Give me an estimate for MDF board, MDF ring, cables(apart from amp) and total fitting charges.

I think now we are complete regarding the lists. Please do a check again.

i would go with B/W as its an AMP

Palti/HR are better than Aura(in terms of design rather than built)-try for them at a separate place, maybe TCR itself as the stock tyre will fetch a better price(due to lower road mileage).

Booking will be needed-as these guys are very busy and preference to high end installs/fav customers may take precedence. Time span will be 6 hours max for the audio

No idea-sorry-cables will cost below 2K-bargain on the cables and MDF-not fitting charges(ego problem-most installers have)!

List is lacking one main component- the CAR-when are you getting it?

Take pics of the install-keep the thread alive!
