Warranty wont be void if connectors are used(MGA also uses connectors)-most of the good outside shops use connectors even without you telling them specifically-so say goodbye to the MGA guys.

Audio prices are now spot on-maybe i have seen 5.7Kfor the 5050 because of the 5090(newer) in the market but otherwise good.

Amp - choose a JBL/Pioneer or Kenwood- all are good-wires -go for Scosche cables-cost will come upto 1.5K.here is the link

Sensors the one that comes for 3 K will shoe distance in meters/audible alarm/individual sensor position and a pictorical graph also-in color

Audio Setup:

I've finally got my ICE.
Although the car has not yet arrived. Its like (anaye medikkunnathinu munne thotti medikkuka). A malayalam proverb. Translates to something like 'buying the sticks before the buying the elephant.'. Here are the stuffs i got

HU: pioneer 6050UB: Rs 8150
Front: Polk db6501: Rs 6500(8000 wih b/w)
Back: Polk db691: Rs 4300(7500 with b/w)
Total came to 18950.

All are without grey. Check the prices in bangalore, hyderabad & chennai.
Chennai was marginally cheap. So took it from there.
Sad thing is I have to wait 1 more week for put all these on. Will be posting pics once done. Guys I've got the demo of this. This one rocks. If u prefer soft music with CLARITY, this is the setup for you.

Binoy, the HU 6050 u mentioned was way ahead of 5050 although the price diff was just 1200. The display was rocking and had a bit of animation as the front panel was motorized. Small word of caution, don't buy if u have a kid at home.

Amplifier:
I have a lil more bandwidth in the budget. Binoy write something to convince me on the Amplifier. These car audio guys are telling me there is no need for an amp. One person told me u will only notice 20% difference, which I am sure I wont notice. U had earlier mentioned about the wattage difference in the HU and for the speakers. So will it be a problem if I don't put and amp. Will it affect the HU. As u said in another forum, will it drive the juice out of the HU. Please mention the specific amp with the model number.

Ameen good to hear from you- good prices that you have got there!

The HU will not get damaged if you dont go for amps to run the powerful speakers-only that the full potential of the speakers(and so the cost for them) wont be realized.

Will post on the amps by evening as am a little busy today.

Aana veegum verate ennu prathikam(pray that the elephant comes fast).

P.S- keep this thread alive with your ICE installation as such for the benefit of all-also post the pics if possible-after the install.

Well Ameen, sorry for the delay.

Now your components and rears are capable of 100w rms at 4 ohm- so some serious hardware is needed, which will handle that power.

Have a look at these

JBL GTO1004

One of the popular models and meets our 100w x 4 channel at 4 ohms - cost 10-11k with B/W

Kenwood Excelon KAC-X40

4 channel x 70watts cost - 8k-9k with b/w

Alpine MRP-F600

4 x 100rms at 4 ohms = cost - 10-12K

Infinity Reference 475a

4 x 75rms at 4 ohms -cost - 9k-11k

Remote locking:

Which one should I be putting.
MGA or Autocop or something else.

MGA - Cost 5500
Autocop - Cost 3500(in Showroom, maybe less outside).

MGA has an additional body sensor. Rest all remains the same. The usual bheeshani/dhamki about using original accessory was also given. ;)
Help me on this one............

Others:
Teflon, Anti-rust coating. Which all among these need be done.

Remote locking-autocop/or even Xenos(from outside).

the body sensor is nothing but a 'motion sensor' which is available with other models of autocop(probably its not available with the dealer).

Anti rust definitely-no to teflon.
