Rgd the rat trap, a bait is required... any bets on whether  the rat was originally interested in the car, or got induced to checking out the tasty bait special only for the day?.. that would mean a double waste of ghee and chapatis...aka invited trouble......Laughing

Our society has huge rat problem. All owners have told me that they had some wiring damaged by rats. One suggested that put a pouch of tobacco somewhere under the bonnet which will keep rats away. Also at the time of taking delivery, the dealer insisted that i should get engine coating done, which will prevent rats from damaging anything around engine. Didn't got it as i though its just a gimmick by dealer.

Does anyone has more inputs on this?

Hi,

I faced same problem last week, we use to park our cars in the Gali (lane) and I was not using Spark since last week. On friday, I detected that somehow one Rat manages to enter into the car, On sunday I bought a Rat Kill Cake and put it inside the car here and there. 3-4 pieces and monday morning I saw cakes were missing. And since monday my car is clean.

Mortien Rat Kill Cake. Worked in my case!

Iam having a 2004 model maruti 800. These tiny creatures bugged me a lot few weeks back. It caused lots of damages to my car. Firstly it cut the AC wire... The mechanic had to remove the entire front dashboard to re-connect the wire.

And after a week the rat died inside the AC compressor. It was so stinky smell in the car and i had to give it to the service centre to remove the dead rat. The tiny little creature dint have any other place to sucide himself It cost me about 1500 to clean the whole AC compressor and to change the AC gas...

can anyone suggest any preventive measures for this...
