Why does SX4 not seem to be so frequent on the streets as was expected.

Is it because of delivery problems ,or the features not being attractive enough?

Can anyone tell of the observed drawbacks in SX4,apart from the difficulty in backing up?

How does Logan and Chevrolet Aveo match upto SX4 in:

1.price

2.performance

3.maintenance costs

hello rana.

sx4 is a big hit in indian market, u get to see so many cars onraod. logan & aveo are also sedans but sx4 is a segment higher & being a maruti its low on maintainance too.

the zxi version has all the features such as airbags, abs with ebd, climate control, 16'' alloy wheels with thick tyres, these all features only sx4 has in this segment cars & no other cars has these much features.

if u r planning to buy a sx4 than its a worth buy, just go for it.

Hi,

SX4 is the best car launched by Maruti and definitely having lot more features den other cars. They are selling it in good no.'s ...like other maruti cars... but if someone is thinking about SX4 ... other good options are there.... Honda City, Fiesta S, Aveo... So many good options... But when it comes to Features... SX4 is having more features.

Performance of every car is Good....As far as Logan & Aveo is concern.... well Logan is different ball game.... Cheaper and very good in its price........... Aveo... the best Interiors.... Good to drive and feel is there ..inside! But SX4 is having upper hand as compare to Logan & Aveo.

Maintenance of Maruti V/s Others.... You can not compare the service of Maruti with any other company..... Wide Service Network... but others are increasing and I hope in next 5 years you will find good service network of every company.

The base version of the SX4 is more costly than the Dzire VDi..and thats has been a main deterent in the sale numbers of the SX4..this info from the neighbourhood maruti dealer.

Another problem is the mileage which is in the 10kmpl range in the city with AC.

Price.... well maybe a reason but main reason is mentioned by Binoy..... yes mileage is 9-10kmpl in city with a.c. ..... few lucky ones getting more but 10kmpl is wat majority is getting from sx4 ... But personally I like the looks of SX4..... the best from Maruti Suzuki

Unfair to compare the SX4 to the Swift Dzire - the SX4 is a notch higher. It's like comparing the Passat to the Jetta - just not fair

The comparison is on the price of the cars and its very fair, as any buyer would be looking for the best value for money car that he can buy within his budget.
both are 3 box sedans seating 5 and IMHO the arm rest design of the SX4 is worser than the Dzire-spacious surely the SX4 is but compare to the Dzire(that too a diesel) any buyer would.

Thanks a lot for the inputs.

What about fiesta petrol vresion?Everyone seems to recommend fiesta diesel version - anything wrong with the petrol one?

Also can someone give a comparison of  the on-road prices for SX4,Aveo(sedan/petrol) and Fiesta (petrol)?
