Here we go! CarWale.com tested Volvo S80 V8. Though we had been doing road tests for more than one year now, this road test is different. We have adapted an entirely new methodology. From the way we road test cars to publish road test reports, everything is new. Below is the S80 road test URL.

Kindly read the road test and let us know what do you feel about it? Feel free to criticize if you didn't like anything.

Just went through the review and must congratulate the reviewer for the well written review.
Only suggestion is for a 'Rating system' for all cars.Maybe a 10 point or a 20 point rating system where a 'single look objective comparison' of different cars will be possible with the help of the rating.

The pictures are excellent-even in the overcast conditions that they were taken.

regards

Thanks Binoy. The suggestion is noted. We will work upon the rating system and come back to you once it's done.

The review is the technical part, which is done beautifully covering all aspects, as ever/before.

But I would surely like to comment that the presentation of the review has improved - especially the categorisation of different aspects page-wise & its layout.  The photos are really good, like pointed out by Binoy. I particularly liked the ones capturing the interiors of the car - very neat.

Regarding the rating system, I second Binoy's opinion but would like to add that the different aspects may be rated separately, say category/page-wise, and thereafter let the overall rating follow.

Last but not the least.... Thanks Banwari for a wonderful review

Further.... I would suggest that the Introduction (page #1) should also (besides the contents it has) contain the following:

·         Main/important aspects of the car that are normally taken into consideration by the buyer, such as main features, CC, Power, Torque, wheel size, ground clearance, approx. mileage etc.

·         The category/page-wise rating & overall rating (as suggested before).

I also have one cosmetic change to suggest in the layout of the main page…..

Presently you have tabs/links to the page nos. with a pull-down menu along side indicating the category/heading of the relevant page.  Instead, I feel it would be better if the categories are listed vertically (like in an index) with same tabs/link to the page nos. mentioned along side.
