SX4 Diesel in India

Is the new SX4 diesel going to use the same 1.3 multijet ingine or going to employ a new mulitjet ingine from Fait?

Would you please tell me when the new upgrade swift diesel is going to launched which is going to be a bit wider and longer than the present version of swift diesel. Moreover tyhe power is going to be increased to 80 bhp from present 75 bhp. Would like to know when its going to be launched.

This redesign might come about in 2011 and not before, the engines would be updated to meet emission norms and the same body shell would sell basically unchanged for the next two years.

Can we expect the BS 4 norms brings the fine turned 1.3 MJD? – like 90 BHP in Swift, Dzire or SX4? – Which is already there in Linea & Manza –

i was jst reading the link at upcoming cars in car wale.com abt the sx4 diesel. m confused- above it was mentioned that it will have 1.6l engine which will be as reliable as 1.3MJD with under the spec expected coloum.it was mentioned that the engine is still 1248cc with 85bhp.

Is there any relaiable info regarding the induction of SX4-Diesel version during 2010. I would request that Suzuki to think it over regarding this wide, long awaited customer expectations and to declare an approximate period of launch. 

Recently I was discusing this with a known guy from the company. Here is the conclusion

1. Maruti initially had this plan (1.3MJD) but it was shelved as 75BHP was underpowered for the car.

2. Internationally, it is offered in a 1.9MJD. Maruti is trying to get their hands on this engine. But I m not sure about performance specs as they will detune it for India.

3. Currently, at least for the next 6 months there is no plans for launch

4. About 1.3VGT MJD, if it has to come, then it will be in the Dzire first, as per my expectation.

Have to see whats next, even I m in the wait for the diesel.

Please, update in this forum for the latest info regarding the upgradation of Swift Diesel version and induction of SX4 Diesel version whenever you rec'v reliable informations. I'm ofcourse waiting for SX4 Diesel.. still i may get into the updated vesion of Swift Diesel incase if it comes early as i have no inclination towards SwiftDesire.

Idon't know whether the Maruthi Suzuki is aware of their customer intrests on ealy induction of much awaited SX4 Diesel version ?!
