@ Sudeep,

This time TATA Motors is handling all Marketing and PR activities of Fiat India.May be that the reason for not full blown advertisements. All major spare parts are available and when for the first time I visited TATA's service center for a small rubbing job, I was very warmly welcomed and was given special attention.

Yes, Linea asks for more power and a more powerful engine will certainly makes it a more hot commodity, currently they are testing 1.6 Litre petrol engine for Linea. But, 1.4 is not underpowered either and don't forget we are getting a proper sedan starting from 6.15 (ex showroom) and this 1.4 litre engine has made it pricing more competitive.

Please check and compare ANHC and Linea interiors again, even after that you not satisfied with the sophistication of interiors, then Fiat India should think about having new interiors for Linea more aggressively.

Little lac more for Honada City? Are you comparing Linea Multijet with ANHC? You should be comparing apples with Apples not with Apples with Oranges. Linea 1.4 starts from 6.15 (ex showroom) what is the starting price of ANHC? Even if you want to compare Linea Multijet with ANHC, then compare it overall (additional features you getting, blue and me, air bags, alloywheels, ABS, MY Car 1-2-3 .............)

One thing is sure, to dispell apprehensions of all prospective customers the Fiat Indian should be more aggressive in the advertisement front.

Its a full import, as in the fully built car is being shipped into India. This route will fetch the highest duties(almost more than twice the price of the car outside).

The other options are SKD and CKD kits but then there would arise the need for a lot of local investment before the cars can be sold.

Bravo is a good car and looks good too; in fact very similar to Punto. However, if Fiat wants to sell the car in India, at this price (18 Lac), it would remain a pipe dream. If this is for image overhaul, then such a thing should have been done a couple of years back. It always does things late and misses the bus. If Fiat intends to sell the car in India, the price needs to be Indianized. Having seen the car in other countries, I can confidently say that it can be priced at best a lac more than Punto. Anything over that, the product will bomb.

Strategists in Fiat India ... strategies need to be made based on market characteristics. Markets change faster than the marketing strategies.

In addition, with new Hyundai Verna 2011 and Ford Fiesta (same as the one in Europe) are about to be launched in India ... so be prepared, Linea will face the heat now.
