I wanted to know which of the two would be better to install :

A rear view camera or a reverse parking sensors......

Can someone tell me the positives and negatives of both these reversing aids.....?

And finally can you mention some popular brands for such advanced systems and where can i get them installed in Mumbai/Navimumbai....?

Thnx.

hi adithya.

i would sugest go with the parking sensors & not with the camera because in camera u have to have a lcd screen in ur car & if u dont have & have to get it fit its going to be expensive & in camera at night time it is difficult to judje the object behind u & even in rains or fogs where as sensors are good enough & in sensors u dont have to even see at back just hear the noise & stop according to it. in mumbai u can get it in operahouse market. the range starts from 2000 & it goes on but some cheap ones are made in delhi in that if it works it will work or else get spoiled in sometime go for some branded one in 3000 range u will get some good parking sensors, ya & go with the 4 sensor pack. if u need any further help than do tell me i stay near by only so will help with the shop from where to buy.

HI Aditya , if i am not wriong you are having now a Fusion right and want to install reversin sensors with cam!

well i think the reversing sensors  with cam would cost you from 7.5 - 10k rs , and i think you shud get a 2 yr waranty for it , for the cam , the Display will be fitted on your Inside rear view mirror , and no probs with that , i feel if you can afford the one with cam , go for it , the without cam costs 3k - 4k rs , that just shows you the distance from the bumper end to any other next object near it! so with cam would be any day better!

Cheers,
Sri

Hi Deepam

I want to fit reverse parking sensor in my new dzire. I have seen Xenos brand which is costing 2600/- with fitting. I have few questions.

1. Is the performance of brand Xenos  good ? (they give iyr warranty)

2. Is the price OK?

3. If I fit it outside, they told that they may just wipe the wire to get it connected. Will it void company warranty for electrical fitting? If so, how come the car dealer is going to fit without disturbing the electrical wiring?

4. any other good brand (with price?) can u suggest?

Thanks & Regards

hello susim.

xenos is a good brand & 2600 seems to be ok with 1yr waranty, if  u r getting it fixed from ur maruti dealer than it will not void ur warranty.

Xenos as deepam pointed out is a good brand, the price depends on the number of 'sensor units' this price seems good for a 2 sensor unit, but a 4 sensor unit will be better. Xenos has them in 5 colors so dont have to do repainting.
The dealers connect the wires without 'splicing' by using connectors. The outside shop can also do this easily and that wont void the warranty.

hello susim.

teflon is not required & for anti rust, get it done as it will save ur car from rusting from under the body due to water & all.

yes to anti rust & no to teflon.
