hi guys.

today i visited to the volkswagen showroom to see & inquire about jetta.  the price what i got for the diesel at is 18.5+ which i felt expensive for the jetta as compared to laura l&k at price which is 19+ in mumbai there is hardly any difference in price between the two but there are lots of features jetta doesn't have & laura has.

the engine for the both are same & the features which are not there in jetta compared to laura are:

sun/moon roof

heated seats

front & rear parking sensors

& some more which i dont remember exactly rite now.

overall i felt laura l&k with dsg is better than the jetta dsg.

what you guys say about it.

I personally liked the loooks of the Laura rather than the plain looks of the jetta! also since the engine are the same , i would prefer the Laura anyday than the Jetta!

Cheers,
Sri

both the cars are very good, I havent seen Jetta, but yes I have seen Laura, I like it very much. Jetta is having 8 airbags .. laura is having 6... i guess? I dont like to think about maintenance of any car if the cost of car is above 14lacs, over this amount... well what really matters.... LOOKS & FEATURES.... and least important part ... Maintenance & Resale

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

yes obviously looks wise laura is much better than the jetta & featurs wise also it is better but the price is almost similar. i think jetta will have to face a sheer competiton against laura at this price. i think anyone when buying will compare both the cars will buy laura only.

& jetta 1.6 petrol will not work against civic & yet to be launched new corolla because both have better performance than the jetta & at a similar price or little lower than that.

Yes, why not an Accord? Is it only because of deisel and petrol difference, or some thing else?

0.75 lakhs for a buyer in the 15-20 lakh segment is a non issue IMHO.
