Maruti must check on this aspect. Why the customer needs to change the tyres?

I guess 9 Kmpl is bit less, it should be atleast 11 in city. Hope it will improve after first service.

Not sure but Maruti is looking into this problem. My Maruti dealer sales person said that many ppl have complaint about this aspect & company is looking into it. She also added that from some unconfirmed sources she has come to know that may be company has stopped production for a short duration to chk out on this high speed hig speed wobbling complaints. But this could be pure rumour too.

I have also complained about this through their website as well as the feedback card of Maruti cars that customer gets with the new car in the manual. Hope the problem will be resolved soon.

I could not wait on company's  action as in case they dont take an action, the buyback amount I was getting now woild also had become nil or very low after sometime.

Dzire is getting appreciation from every one; it is because of its spacious and luxurious interior. Though it looks like the stretched version of swift, it still carries it self very well. I read the review on http://www.carazoo.com/newcars/carreview/Maruti/Swift%20DZiRE and must say it was impressive

Hi Guys!

This is my first post on this forum!

Its been two months since i got my Dzire VDI and have already driven it 4600 Kms. I must say that im pretty impressed with the engine performance and response time of the car. When Turbo charger kicks in at 2000 RPM the engine doesnt feel like its deisel. In spite of my fast driving i've been getting mileage of 14-16 kms/ltr. in city and about 20-22 kms/ltr. on highway.

I have been reading other people's review's about this car and wish to inform everybody that stock tyres (JK Tyre 165/80 R14) according to me are really not fit for driving either in the city or on the highway. I have tried various tyre size's on my dzire but have had the best perormance in Michelin Energy 195/60 R 15 which I presently have on. Changing the rims and tyres cost me a total of INR 34 K. With these sets on, i have driven my car upto speeds of 165 Km/hr on the highway. At such speeds it feels as if we are driving at 120km/hr. Car feels more stable on turns and is now much easier to drive in traffic with a smooth ride. Going for tyre size more than 195 and profile size less than 60 makes the car little bit more stable on the edges but ruins the quality and pleasure of drive.

I have'nt had any other problem till date except that the Temprature display on dashboard does not always show correct readings. During the day reading sometimes show temprature;s upto 46* - 48* C here in Delhi which obviously is not correct. I have contacted Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. and have requested a check on this problem. Please advise if anybody else is facing the same problem.

If i can be of any help in providing any further information or details that you may need please feel free reply to me on this post.

Thanks

Gurji

Hello Guruji , hope i am not late and you havnt bought the tyre yet , the 195 / 60 will make the car too low and wont look too good , i would prefer the 196 / 70   15 " this will be probably better than your selction , also go for Yokohoma tyres for Dammn GOod perfromance! And i hope you are telling that your CHanging rim means fitting Alloys right?

Cheers,

Sri

I got delivery of my Dzire VDI on April 14, since then I have driven 2500 Kms. Already gone through the first service after 1000 kms.

In city, with 100% AC on mileage post service is between 15-18 which, as I  have noticed, varies depending on the fuel station I choose. Highway average with AC has been around 19-21.

Good Pick-up, very low engine noise/vibrations are appreciable.

Stock 165/80 tyres were not appropriate for a sedan and I got them changed to 185/70 R14 Yokohama tyres, after which the drive quality & stability has increased significantly. I feel 185/70 is the best combination for DZIRE. 195/60, 195/55 will hamper the drive quality, especially on bumpy roads. I got this replacement done outside the dealer: Yokohama cost 3200 per tyre and exchange price of older ones was 1200, so effectively I paid (3200-1200)*5 = Rs 10000 for the tyre upgradation.

In addition I upgraded to alloy wheels (AURA) which have added a lot to the looks. It cost me 5000*5 =25000 with bill and warranty.

Did not find the rear speakers to be sufficient and exchaged them for SONY Xplod 400W (Rs 2400-Rs 900 exchange =Rs 1500), post which music quality, especially bass, has become lot better.

I too have noticed that the external temperature displayed is at times 3-4 degrees on a higher side.

Cooling is real fast and effective.

The external & internal looks & huge boot space have been appreciated by most. I find the rear leg space to be Ok, especially for a family like mine who has upgraded to dzire from M800.

One problem that is nagging me a lot is the plywork noise and vibrations in the left front & right rear doors. Any suggestions please ?

Overall I am quite satisfied with the car being a good VFM.

Hi Sri!

Like i said, Ive tried a few variation of sizes including Goodyear - 185/70 R 14 same size as Nikhil's Dzire & Yokohama -205/55 R 15 on my car.  But i find the Michelin Energy 195/60 R 15 gives me the best feel on the road including sharp turns and pot holes. I've been driving these for about a month now and do not feel any sluggishness in driving. No offence but in all I've had the best experience in this set. I also do not feel any difference in height or ground clearance. The car looks pretty neat with 10 Spoke Chrome alloys.

Changing rims does mean fitting alloys!

There is no doubt that Yokohama is an excellent brand to go with. It is also about Rs. 300-500 cheaper than Michelin. However, I've always driven on Michelin and trust the brand but would certainly consider to try Yokohama in future.

Nikhil, i've requested the Maruti Suzuki to have the temprature indicator checked, apparantly they are having a free check up camp for Dzire some time soon in the city and i will certaily bring the issue up there. I shall advise on the topic as soon as i have an update.

I too feel that the stock music system lacks some punch to the sound. I, therefore, have added a Blaupunkt 12" bass box/ bass tube for Rs. 4200 connected to 4 Channel Alpine amplifier for Rs. 4000, Blaupunkt Tweeters Rs. 1100. I have had the stock speakers connected to the amplifier which has made a remarkable difference in sound and gives an added thrust to any sort of music.

By the way - all proud owners of Dzire, i got my pollution check done today. The results were quite amazing, compared to others Dzire's engine produces very low levels of Carbon monoxide and other harmful gases. Way to go with the emission norms! In spite of outsourcing engines from Fiat they  have proven it to be one of the best in its segment. However, i feel that quality of fuel and the fuel station does play a role in this. Cleaner the fuel is, the better is the performance with low level of harmful gases. I usually have had my fuel filled from the same station  unless im traveling to another city. I use normal Diesel (without any additives), at time of delivery i was suggested by the dealer - Bagga Link in Delhi to use normal  Diesel and have been following this rule ever since. Probably when the engines 20 K old, i might use the one with additives for optimum performance.

Keep posted for any upcoming news or tweaks that anybody has done to their Dzire.

Thanks

Gurji
