Agree with Pankaj, waiting time for DZire will stay for some time more, till maruti ramps up the production capacity. It is good car so worth the wait.

Though I will get my cars delivery this wednesday, last week, my dealer send me a letter which I supposed was sent to all customers those who have booked Dzire. It mentioned that company is ramping up its production capacity & the delivery numbers will be far better starting 2nd week of May.

But yes the demand continues to be there even after the long waiting period quoted by dealers. It is true that dealers are quoting anything from 6-8 months of delivery time but they expect it shud actuall y not go that far as Maruti will try its best to meet the expectations & bring that period down.

So wait n watch for those plan to buy a good sedan whch is a vfm car.

Will post my feedback next week after good test ride of the car.

Pankaj,

It is difficult to pick up points from the chklist n put here as it is a document of 12 pages..so wanted to upload it here for everyones reference. It will be good if we have that option.

Yes, I understand but am afraid we presently don't have provision to upload, I suppose.  I hope Banwari helps.

Anyway, other than the test-drive & rountine checks that we do, 2 very important aspects that we also need to check are the mfg. date (month/year) of the car to ensure that it's fresh, and the body/colour to ensure that no denting/painting has been carried out.

Yes, I did a thorough check up yesterday of my car & in Dzire the engine no. & make year is present in the left top section of engne when we open the bonnet. Just beneath the wiper section ,there is small flap to open under which it is mentioned.

Mr. BAnwari, r u listening, can we have an option of uploading somewhere in carwale where in we can give in such valuable documents.

Hi Guys,

Even i had booked my swift dezire 2 weeks back from sagar bangalore...I have been told that i will get the car in 4 months but now this price increase is again a burder and especially since we booked it before then why is it getting passed to us???

..the price hike will be handed down as the price of the car is at the time of purchase and not at the time of booking..the other side to the story is that if there is a price reduction even that will be handed over to the customer..

Dear Vishal,

CarWale.com doesn't have a file uploading facility as of now and I am unable to promise you that when will we have one. The problem is, copyright issue. This facility can be provided only when we are sure that nobody will upload any objectionable material. To avoid this situation where someone uploads some copyright material, we will have to moderate the entire activity which in turn will increase moderators' job. And moreover, we don't have too many files to upload as of now?

My idea is, we use public file uploading sites for the moment. Or in the worst case, if it's a non-copyright material, you mail it to me at banwari at carwale dot com and I will upload it somewhere. What say?

Vishal,

I got it. I am not uploading it as it is written by someone else. Moreover it's already available on the web. Check these links out:
And rest assured, CarWale.com too will do a comprehensive research on the subject and will publish its own new car delivery check-list in Tips & Advice section in sometime.

Thanks Vishal, for the check-list anyway.
