Maruti Swift Dzire launched!

Oh, that's sad - it could happen to others as well & would leave with no subsequent choice but to regret.  In fact, I know of one incident, a little different but unusual... briefly, a warranty claim was refused by the company stating that the warranty has expired - on ascertaining it was found that the car was, prior to this particular sale, sold first to someone 4 months before that & the same was for some reason cancelled - therefore the sale date was reflected in the company's record as older than the current sale - later, somehow, the things were rectified & the warranty claim was settled.

@Binoy, there's nothing to feel offended for you or me - it sometimes happens (strong words), and, like I have stated before (elsewhere), there's nothing wrong if we differ - we all are learning & we should enjoy doing that. Cheers

Cheers to that, also there ws this huge debacle by Popular Hyundai trivandrum when they sold a car that was repaired after an accident as a new car!!The owner came to know about this when he found the accident repair bill inside the car itself!!This made headline news. Here is the link..

And, by the way, twin-brother of one of our fellow-members, Rajiv Parashar (Lucknow), bought a new Xeta. Later, when he lodged an insurance claim on account of some accident it had met, it surfaced that the car had already been dented/painted before - while nothing had gone wrong since it was purchased.  So.... the dealer had cheated - he sold a car that had been used before & had met with an accident

Such incident shake ones faith in the car dealers. But i seriously feel that Maruti dealers are better. Have bought 3 maruti cars till date and never faced any such incident.

I have got hold off an exhaustive checklist but didnt find a way to attach the document in this section which can be helpful to many. Can anyone pls tell me as how can we upload a document here. Thanks

I have already given all the required things for registeration & will get my car next week. I am planning to do a thorough check on my car sometime tomorrow. If suppose I find such a defect, is it possible to reject the car though registrattion is already under process.

I could not do a pre-registration check as the car arrived lare evening yeterday & today I am in office entire day & I wanted delivery next wednesday by any means & it takes 4 working days for registration.Saturday is holiday(4th) & thursday is off(may day) & Friday I will leave out of town so had no option but to go ahead with registration.

So can I reject the car if I find it defective(minor ones may be corrected)

Vishal

The pre-purchase check (I would address it as) should be carried out before billing/purchase.  Once purchased, you can, however, reject before taking delivery if any defect is noticed, and thereafter (delivery), if any manufacturing defect surfaces, you can always take up for rectification/replacement.

Regarding the exhaustive checklist, I would suggest if you could paraphrase important aspects therefrom, over here.

Hi,
I booked a Swift Dezire VDi on 7th of April at AR.A.S.,P.V.P.V Automobiles,
Nagercoil, The dealer agreed to deliver it in one month. But now he jus dont have any idea of wen it will be delivered. From wat he says now, i could mak out tat it will take another 4 to 5 months. He didnt give any seniority number while booking. But now he says, my seniorty is 15. I strongly feel there are shuffles in the seniorty. Also he mentioned tat there vil be a price hike for all the models and i have to give the revised price..
But, wen i booked the car, i accepted for the price at that time. Its not my fault, the delivery got delayed. Then why should i pay the revised price..
Can someone pls comment on this. I dono if this is a general practice or is the dealer trying to cheat me..
Its my first car, and i'm already frustrated ... Please can anyone throw some lights on my concerns.

Delivery problems will remain in case of Swift & Dzire - there's a mismatch in demand & supply/production, but they are worth the wait & inconveniences

The Dzire, the sedan version of Maruti Swift is a rocking car. It is more luxurious and spacious too. The Dzire is a replacement of Maruti Esteem. Only time will tell us if it will click the swift hatchback
