Space may be not, but the looks, interiors, comfort and features are definitely the best in this segment. Actually it is just - DZire vs logan vs indigo. What else are we talking about.

Pankaj. still awaitng ur test drive results that u were going to have on the petrol version some time soon..do u get a chance to get a hand on it.

Kvsk..any updates on delivery of ur petrol car by ur dealer..it seems the wait is just increasing day by day..

It seems Maruti is doing this with petrol deliberately as many ppl are cancelling their swift & sx4 bookings & going in for Dzire so their sales is hitting.

It was certainly bound to as many ppl wud prefer spending 50-70k more then hatchback to get this car & ppl for opting for SX4 wud think y not to take Dzire which has almost as good features & looks though less on engine & space, but spend a 1-1.5 L less for it seems to be fine.

Sorry Vishal, I haven't been able to test-drive Dizire Petrol yet.  In fact, local dealer had telephoned me for the purpose on Tuesday last, but unfortunately, as  I kept very busy, I couldn't spare time.  Will do so as soon as possible & post my experience.

Hi vishal, I don't think maruti is doing this deliberately. Waiting is as it is more because it is a good car and has received huge response.

The dealer has informed that The Dzire sales figure that Maruti expected o reach by September 2008 has already been reached in less then a month of launch & hence they are unable to meet the huge demand.

They also informed that Maruti will now be sending letters to all those who have booked Dzire informing them of the reason of delay & expected deliver periods. A letter by your dealer may also be followed for expected delivery timelines.

That is right information Vishal - Dzire is raking up sales like anything. I know of a couple of people who have tried to get their cars by paying up premium amounts to the tune of 75K. Guess what the dealer does - plainly refuses and asks these guys to go for an SX4 instead - great advice isn't it?

Cheers,
K Prasad

I am getting an option of Red colour though I wanted Blue or Gray. Since it is no metallic colour, can a teflon coating be done on it or it is done only for metallic colours.

Also i am planning to get the anti rust done. Someone told me that there are 2 anti rust available, one is the conventional black & other is a transparent one.

My friend suggested me to get the conventional one done as you know it is done, u cannot see the transparemt ones & hence the dealer might just say u it is done. What u guys suggest.

Is there anything else one shud need to do in the new car. I will also be taking the floor mats along with it.. I am taking the Vxi version.

Hope to get some of the above accessories as complementary for delaying my pormised delivery on 14th.
