Overcharging on post wrranty repairs by Autocop

I had bought an Autocop XS 8000 anti theft system for my Santro, which is now out of warranty. Presently, both the remote controls are not working and the local dealer who installed the system informs that they cannot repair the remote and I have to contact the company service center. The service center informs that their charges for repairing a remote are Rs 140 visit charges and Rs 337 repair charges amounting to Rs 477! This is absolute fleecing of customers for a product which should hardly be costing Rs 100 to Rs 200. They also informed that a replacement remote will cost Rs 700. I am posting this information in this forumn to forewarn customers about excessive post warranty charges by Autocop. Anjan Deb Calcutta

Well i have put Xenos keyless entry to my swift Diesel. XENOS comes with LIFE TIME WARRANTY.

Please let me know how much u paid for ur xenos keyless entry autocop

I would also like to know the prices for Xenos car locking, as i am already using the Xenos music system in my car.

Anybody has any idea of the cost for the remote car locking facility if you have the central locking already in place.

Do have look here: www.xenos.co.in . They have clearly given the product features/specifications as well as the price. Xenos Security System, as I've heard, is one of the best in the category. They also give 'lifetime' warranty!

By the way, what Music System(the model) are you using from Xenos. I'm planning to buy one too. The one with the DVD compatibility. Could you give me a feedback about the music system?
