Hi all, I'm planning to buy a sedan my choices are Ford Fiesta 1.4 ZXi, Verna XXi and SX4 Zxi. I would like to know the best car to buy in view of best performance, fuel economy, less maintenance, good service support? I'll drive 20 KMs per day in Bangalore City. Though 1.4 and 1.6 is different segments, I wish to know the best to buy. I may not cross 90 KMPH at any cost. I took a Test drive with SX4 good performance but we don’t like the poor Interiors. Also, took Test Drive Fiesta ZXi looks every thing fine. But I read in many web sites, Ford Service is very poor and costly. Planning to take a Test Drive with Verna Xxi. Kindly suggest a good option. Thanks in advance - Sivakumar Umaiyan (yousivakutti@yahoo.com)

If you do lot of city driving then you could go for Ford Fiesta. Driving within city is a pleasure in this car. Regarding service it depends on the dealer and identify a good dealer.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, my most of driving will be in City limit. I like Fiesta Zxi a lot (shape, performance). But after reading the after sale service support and the cost. I changed my mind to SX4. I will keep this for at least 5 to 6 Years and need to think of the maintenance and service supports. I hope my selection is the right one?

i think Verna is the best out of the lot. Superb performance. I was about to buy sx4 but then changed my mind to verna. its been a month now since i got my verna. i have got 1700 kms out of it at an avg of 11 kmpl. 1st service is due and i expect the mileage to go upto 12-13 .

Thanks

Vikas

Hi Sivakumar, i bought verna xi. I had previously test drive sx4 but when you put your foot on accelarator, engine makes some noice (as with all maruti cars....i have zen as well). does not seems like 102 bhp. Verna takes over like anything with 102 bhp. Coming to interiors....not upto standard as far as sx4 is concerned, infact a bit cheap....verna with its wood finish looks class. rear view in sx4 is not very good. i found it difficult to see the traffic coming from behind. My verna is real earth (color).... as for maintenance , both maruti and hyundai have lots of service centers....so not much of a difference there i have not taken it on highway but in city its mileage beore first service is coming to be 11 kmpl with AC....i am hoping it will pick up to atleast 12 after service.
