I also have a feel that the interior space is quite cramped, i am comparing it to the Aveo.

Hi  Somnath..

As rightly said even me & my family have alreday booked a City as talking on the reliability, engine smoothness,& over & above the mileage in City condition and not to say the Interiors which are very plush not a match to SX4.No doubt Maruti has tried alot but they havnt judged the Indian customers likings where in the city is getting cramped day on day.

where in City with all its + + + beautifuaaly fits in to the Indian metro Young demands...

well...i agree with all City lovers here..... its not that Sx4 is a bad car or sumthin...but CITY certainly has one advantage... its a car from a carmaker who has been specializing in making cars in this segment.....they are a worldwide car company which is successful across the globe. So that way the Cirty is not a NEW car to most of us....we(we Indians) kno it for the past 10 yrs or so. and it keeps updating itself constantly according to the consumer needs in order to be the best.... "MAruti Suzuki" (not talkin abt Suzuki.just Maruti Suzuki) on the other hand is gr8 company no doubt, with gives us complete value for money in its cars. BUT,it has not made many cars of this particular Segment !....also Sx4's predecessor, the Balano was a FLOP,if ever compared with the Hondy CITY. So Maruti really has alot to prove... they hav got the potential....but the rest, only time will tell... Cheers..

the sx4 is definetly VFM but it just cant match the quality , relaibility of a honda , besides when i drove the sx4 & city back to back , the city did not feel underpowered to the sx4 ,yes the sx4 is half a second quicker to 100 but it is all theoritical. The best to drive is the fiesta 1.6 with its superb gearbox & easy shifting but then it dosent have the interior quality nor the mileage of the city.

yes Fiesta 1.6 is nice no doubt..bt Ford has got its high maintainence, low fuel economy....expensive parts... etc...which in the long run make it expensive.... remember the Ford IKON 1.6 ??..... that was one car i luvd...superp pickup..powerful engine,AC was pretty decent...handling was certainly better than the Honda City (which was the Old Honda CIty at that time) had a total FORD feeling....even Turning radius was nice....was indeed a JOSH machine..... but parts wer too expensive.... n i made sure only dad took it to the petrol pump...... that car luvd "gulping" fuel @ 7-8 kms per litre !!

dont remind me that , just sold the ikon 1.6 , had a great time .The car was just fantastic & made sunday mornings an  experience in it self , the pickup , handling & steering feel was brilliant but the car returned 10 - not bad.Me & my dads ikon was a 2000 model ,were the later NXT models better ?

OK !!.... i was wondering how u'd reply to my post.....only the ones who have driven/owned this car can experience the JOSH in this car.. well... i guess mine was 2001 or 2002, sold it 1 yr back..... bt i LOVED that machine.....ya it mite hav given u figures of 10.. depends on driving... d brakes of the Honda City were better. abt the IKON, i luvd screeching this car.....infact racing n stuff.... n dis car was TOTALLY FUN if u're behind the wheel...dunno why they stopped this model. 1.3 is pretty ok in its own class...bt can't compare it wid the 1.6..Never !
