As for reversing issues, the reverse sensors are an option but for parking spaces which are quite obivious should be tested for booking any car, as for my personal experince, i have a very clumsy parking space so made a point to test each of the cars i tested before buying by parking it myself in the garage.

Rajesh G or any of you owners of SX4.  One of the biggest advantages of Baleno is that it can pull from 25 kmph in fifth gear due to which driving in the city becomes a cakewalk.  How is the SX4 in comparison?  I prefer to keep gear change and braking to a minimum.  This has always assured me excellent mileage and ease of driving.  How good is the AC?  Is it as good as Baleno?  Some of you ex-baleno owners should be able to reply to this.

Hi Madusudan

Yes I was one of the Baleno user. Bought SX4 ZXi one month back. Covered 1100kms so far. First service over. AC is as good as Baleno. Pick up is better than Baleno. Minimumu gear changes required. Mileage 15.4 kms with always ac on

Could the owners of SX4 comment on these points mentioned in the review of SX4 in Autocar / CarWale / other forums etc.? How serious are the problems?

  1. The build quality is poor...doors rattle even after 3000 km run
  2. The pickup is not all that good and above 5000 rpm the motor is strained
  3. Gear-shifting problems (5th to 4th)
  4. Suspension is stiff and ride quality is poor at low / high speeds. Body roll is noticeable at high speeds
  5. Steering wheel is stiff at times
  6. The interiors are quite cramped though the wheel base is high
  7. The plastics used are quite cheap looking and not of good quality
  8. Parking is a problem because of high rear seats
  9. Rear seating is a problem especially the middle one
  10. Average fuel efficiency

Thanks
