No, that was as per the original schedule.  They have withheld their plans for the present.  Currently it's not known as to when they will launch it - but they will definitely.

Hi friends,
I have booked for SX4 and hope that it will be delivered within a week.I compared SX 4 with Honda city, Verna, Ford fiesta and Aveo. My findings in SX4 are, its overall height gives comfort to  tall people, its ground clearance is just outstanding(190mm) than any other cars in India. This is very important when u drive in hilly and bouncy roads and remember that such a car is not meant for only city riding because many parts of our country is still not having planned highways or roads. Also there are adequate safety features are supplied with SX4.Another important point to be considered is the service network of Maruti in this Country is  is matchless. This car is a symbol of power in this segment.People who need mileage and related  issues can prefer any other disel versions. And nothing is perfect in life. So cars also. There may be "N" number of problems with any cars.Afterall they are man made machines. So count your preferences and come to a conclusion..Happy and safe motoring to all..  Boby Johns George, Cochin

I am Unfortunate SX4 owner fallen in trap of high ground clearance.Bullock cart is better than this vehicle as for as at least ground clearance is concerned!!!.The performance is underpowered .Driving is not peppy and Gear box poses hardships during long drive.AC is shabby. So i can conclude that it is unsafe vehicle.Dealers though are everywhere they are not learned enough to consider real problems. They better be called "Maruti water wash service centers" !

Hi Jeevan,

I could not understand any of your problems regarding SX4. I too own it for nearly 9 months now. I have loved the higher GC, particularly on bad roads. its just fun to see my car sail through the potholes when all other vehicles seem to swaying like a boat on rough waters. I have personally never found it underpowered. AC cools almost instantly. I remember in some of cars i used to travel good 8 - 10 kms before actually getting to feel the difference.
I do not want ot comment on safety really.
May be you have a troublesome car, i suggest you show it to some good mechanic who will understand the problems with your car. I and my friends/neighbours who own this beauty are in absolute love with this car. I have not heard any issues with any other owner as well.

Like I have said elsewhere (reply to above in another thread)..... One of my brother-in-law located at Surat owns SX4.  He travels a lot (city & more on highway). This is his 3rd car & he knows quite a lot about engines.  I have never heard him complaining about it - I've discussed a lot about SX4 with him.  Nevertheless, I have driven the car for 385 kms with one break. I too, therefore, disagree with your review/findings.

You may create/start a new thread if you wish to have further discussion. Thanks.

You dont really own this car....do you? I assume you're one of those biased honda fans.

Anyways, i did have problems in reversing this car as im not very highted. Relied a lot on the side view mirrors and as most of you must be knowing...they are big enough to accomodate a truck. Visibility is excellent specially on highwyas when you need big side view mirrors. For better reversing, i have  4 parking sensors on the bumper now...and trust me, its helping a lot.

Guy,when uve quite reversing visibility, why u went for reverse parking sensors?
That itself speaks of SX4's  bad design

I agree, the rear design of SX4 (& Dzire) causes the driver a little inconvenience while reversing.  But that's a different issue than what you have been pointing out until now.
