Well main problems looks price. Linea will fail at the price tag being talked about. At that price very few people will take risk of goinf with fiat. Instead they will prefer honda city. Plus since the same power pac is also being talked on indigo one would take chance of going with indigo keeping cost in mind. Well good luck to fiat as it's a hard journey for them.

@ nanda,

yes people would prefer honda over fiat who just buys the car by the company's name, but the people who know what fiat cars are & trust fiat will buy fiat cars as they are special in some cases.

@ chanderkiran

one cannot expect the Petrol Lineas to sell , the startergy is with the Diesel Linea , hence the Diesel Linea might do well and much better than its petrol sibling!

Amin number of Fiat lover per se are very few and that number may not justify as compared to corporate buyers.
Sri same is the problem with Diesel. In order for Diesel to be economical one must run the car for over 150KM per day otherwise it is economical to have a Petrol  vehicle.
So either way Fiat will have to enter with low pricing, capture the market and then slowly keep raising the price.

For considering a diesel car, the run may not necessarily be that high (150kms per day).

A monthly run of 1000 kms (30/35 kms per day) with car ownership of 5 years is good enough to consider a diesel car.

By the way, I suggest if you can go through the discussions & calculations in this thread / Fuel options (page no.3 & 4).

Thanks Binoy, and Viny most of it what I mentioned is not 'crap' but it does contain what are the speculated features and yes you were so brain washed by the Fiat India helpline as they are strictly told not to divulge any information. and correction, linea will get 4 airbags two curtain and dual in the front read my next two posts if you care to Viny.

Fiat has to learn a lot from Honda,

New HOnda city just came with a WHISPER, Linea as been awaited now for such a long time that even  the true FIAT LOVER like me is tired of the suspense & waiting.

I have a Palio & eagerly awaiting Linea for last Alomost 9 months. I have been followingup regulerly , but my dear friend I am still guessing as everyone else here.

I wish al the best to my self & all who has been awaiting this car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
