FIAT LINEA - coming 2008

autocar show on utvi said its coming in december 2008, and this was just yesterday. atleast thats hormazd said, and he seems pretty reliable.

Yeh Hormad has really better  idea about the cars that are gonna launch , as a matter of fact he shud be knowing it as he is the Ediot of ACI!

Fiat is afraid that c segment competitors like GM's new Aveo, Hyundai Elantra 2008, Honda City 2009 i-VTEC, and M&M Ingenio concept might steal away competitors, justified but, there has not been a single launch since the Corolla Altis which was D segment and now it is more than 20 days, are they waiting for the Honda City i-VTEC to hit the market so that they can release it alongside or will release it prior to Honda's release, as Fiat India CEO Mr. Rajeev Kapoor said that they are industrially prepared for the Linea, why not go ahead with the launch? If they delay this then arrival of Grande Punto will be further delayed and it might face stiff competition from the new Honda City 2009. Furthermore if price is as I mentioned before and not a penny more, it will be a hit!

I wouldn't be so sure, Hormad is very reliale and ACI is my best magazine but he still aint part of Fiat group in anyway... sure ACI reviews cars superbly but I still think Fiat should buck up and release the car- I haven't seen a single one release since Toyota Altis released on September 5th- why are they waiting for the City 2009 to release?

Fiat Linea is yet going to be lauched. The car is booming so much before launching. The car must be well designed and stylish looking. I am crazy about cars so much.

now if linea launched than it will have to face a sheer competition of the new city which has already been launched, so it will be good for fiat if they launch the linea as soon as possible to attract the customers.

Honda City has released... more bad news for the Linea and that too bang on the price what Linea was targeting somewhat better stance with arrow shot design (www.hondacarindia.com) if Linea is priced at around 70,000 Rs cheaper at Rs 7 lacs for base model maybe this will be a hit. As far as launch date is concerned- quick Linea quick, or else people will get fazed by the raging onset of the stylish new more powerful Honda City i-VTEC.

VERDICT

If Linea's price and date of launch is near and precise, it will be a slightly better car in terms price, way better in terms of build- its worth waiting for. An SX4 at 7.5lacs (ex-showroom) fully loaded can be an alternative- hope linea comes soon!!!! hey everybody i am also waiting this hot machine from 6 months.first i wait for september according to every site views.but now every body say it come in october.what happend with Fiat. main competitor of the Linea is hyundai verna with diesel engine but i think fiat linea with 1.3 multijet with VGT tech 90ps ,200tq. it has good mileage,refine,quite,quick ( 100 km/h in 13.8sec and gives 100km in 4.9lt diesel). but if this car not launch in time(only october wait)  then i think i go for verna .
