Avery compelling car. I have no doubts it will be a success. Fiats are too good to be struggling in a market like India where quality of build, handling etc are hardly considered, leave alone respected. Fiats deserve a better footing in our market and the Linea should do the trick for them. Hope they build their service network well enough by the launch.

I personally find this article a joke because of the comparisons... city, verna, fiesta. These are much smaller cars than Linea. Linea is up there with a Civic when it comes to size. If released with only 1.3 multi-jet(90 bhp) diesel and 1.4 turbo petrol options, then probably w.r.t power, it is comparable to the other cars. But I would love it if they churn out much more powerful cars to compete with civic(1.6 petrol and 1.9 diesel). Imagine a civic at the price of a city All said, Fiat might chicken out against competing directly with Honda. Personally love Honda cars(loved the older city), but find them over-priced....

All the reviewers seems to e eagerly waiting for new Linea. Yes. I too. FIAT should not waste much time announcing its launching date.

Sure the car will be good. I am a Fiat fan and own a Palio at present, its a great car too. I am also inclined towards buying a Linea. But the service of Fiat is pathetic. All their technicians in their dealership can do is clean the car inside and out side, change tyres, change bulbs etc. They can’t solve technical problems; they work on a trial and error mode, by replacing parts. I had to shell out close to 50K for a problem that they have still not found a solution. They have changed parts which were not required to be changed. Added to the poor resale value that Fiat cars have, it makes me feel that I have made a big mistake opting for Fiat. Even a Maruti 800 made in the same year fetches a better resale value.

I have been reading articles and seeing pictures of the Linea, I am highly impressed, I am not bothered about the resale value, but who will resolve the technical issues that arises, I don’t want to land up in trouble as mentioned above. What confidence will I have to drive the car I love?

Rajiv Kadapatti I am waiting for the Linea, hope it comes with a an engine definately more than a 1.4 ltr multijet as it is a big car.It will get shot down if it is underpowered.Fiat cannot afford to make mistakes this time as it will loose the trust of people for good.A good example would be the lancer diesel which was a 2 ltr engine a car this size needs a 2 ltr engine as people use them on the highways and travel distances.Fiat please pay attention, pricing will also should be around 800,000/- to make it a hit and sell volumes.anyway whenis it going to be launched ?,tired of waiting.

Guys , I honestly dont think that linea will come up with a engine more than 1.5 ltr. I heard the fiat India marketing head saying that " we will be not be affected by the recent customs tax since we do not have any projects in pipeline which has more than 1.5 LTR engine "
