Your marketing hand TATA motors do not seem to be aware about the proposed car launch. In fact even the mention of the name linea does not seem to ring any bells to the marketing executives at the TATA motors Guwahati showroom. I am planning to buy a sedan and I needed some feedback on the likely prices of variants of linea which will be on offer. I am a ardent FIAT loyalist ( Starting from padmini premier to UNO to Palio) and as such the linea rides high on my preference list. Could you help please? Rgds, Madhuchanda Adhikari Guwahati Assam

I am very keen to know if TATA fiat is launching linea in 1.9 turbo diesel version. The 1.3 would be a bit under powered for a car of this size. It will be really good if they get the options 1.3/1.9... they can absorb more market if they really do that

I Think Now this Time Fiat rocks Indian Car Market with Linea.IT has style,Comfort, good Mileage,Quite,Quick and good Price Range. Overall Its Very Sexy Sedan Than Others. If U ask me which One Is Year 2008 Car then I deffinetly tell u Its Linea.Because That Is The Car which Is compete with D Segment Cars Also.

Well Kanwar , anythign cant eb said too soon! got to look at the overall abitility plus how good it looks on the roads! yeh obviosuly its gonna be a good car , btu pricing will laways play a  key role and i am hoping the FIat is looking at this fact and pricing this Linea at around 8 - 10 lakhs range  , expect a powweerful diesel engine too! so there wud be a major comppetetion btw the upcoming Elantra diesel , the Optra Magnum diesel and the Verna Diesel !

Cheers,
Sri

That's right. Too soon to say how it would perform. Also i feel that all the mileage details available on Linea has to do with road testing in driving conditions which are better than ones we drive in India. Suspension, Ground clearance, power/torque delivery and associated mileage could be ascertained only when tested in Indian road conditions.

Also all these cars which are coming to India are cars which were designed before the unprecedented oil price hike experienced over the last 1 year. And when these cars were designed even the makers of these cars could not have thought about how important the mileage would turnout to be. So a Ford pickup which was a runaway hit in the US for years together is trying to hold on to its own. Right now these vehicles would feature nowhere in the list of new introductions in the BRIC countires.

All said the Linea does look good. Has powerful engine options. Good interiors to lure people and definitely not short on technology. But then we have new Corolla, Civic, Optra, Jetta and many other accomplished models as it's competitors. So it would be really interesting.

I Know In diesel tere are lot of sedan in c and d segment but about linea i express that linea is much lengthy than Verna ,good mileage than optra magnum diesel, and also cheap than new hyundai elentra or avante. ok sri I know its to erlier to say about Linea but I also See This machine at Auto expo. Indian Customers always Like that Kind Of Cars Which has good Looks.I Think fiat Starts Fiat Linea Diesel Price from 7.5 lakh I think At that price there is one car Its Verna Around 8.5 lakh.If we At D segment Cars then Linea has same L\W\h So I have to purchase this car as Soon as possible . But I want Linea Comes With VGT technology.I think with this technology it has quiteness, smothness like Verna Because that Technology only In Verna.

I am owning two Fiat car-Palio& Petra.Palio i own since it's launching 2001. Believe it or not i have not spend a single penny except service that to once in ayear. About Petra i this is 4th yr same no expenditure. Against public or so called market review if god bless me i am going to buy third car that is Palio only Palio. In a single line my view abou FIAT is (1)most honest(2)most commited (3)always gives best option & best technology with highest safety standard no one can dream at this cost(4)Fiat strictly follows social, sentimental & national commitment thro. its varous car models. I am eagerly awaiting it's genuine steep growth for which they deserves. Regards, DR SANJAY BAROT MOBILE- 92768 25222. AHMEDABAD,GUJARAT,INDIA.
