IS IT POSSIBLE TO CALCULATE THE KG WEIGHT OF THIS LPG, WHICH IS MEASURED IN LPM, SO THAT THE ASSESMENT OF THE AVAILABLE LPG CAN BE DONE IN ADVANCE BASED ON THE LPM DRAWN ?
LPM means liter per minute so it’s easy to find consumption over a given period of time in liter. But then liter is volumetric i.e. amount filled in certain pot or tank. Point is that if pressure is increased, more gas can be filled in tank ( liter is same but Kg is increasing in Tank) so without knowing the pressure conversion from liter to Kg simply not possible.
AUTOLPG pumps must be delivering the gas at a fixed pressure. Otherwise measurement will change depending upon whether tank is empty or semi filled. With semi filled tanks it takes more time to fill the same amount of gas than in empty tank.
In present case, easiest way to compare is by KM a car runs in 2 different measurement system. As per market statics, for 1 Litre LPG car runs about 16Km (0.0625 liter per Km) while with cylinder of 14.2kg it goes about 260km (.0546 kg per Km). So that way (0.0546/0.0625 = 0.8738) i.e. 1 kg=0.8738 liter. If you change the mileage conversion factor will change.
The saving on account of conversion to AutoGas in comparison to petrol is about 35-40%.
