Maruti Swift (Diesel) mileage/average?

I have purchased my swift petrol Vxi model on 19 Aug, 2005. I have driven till date 35,000 Kms. Had both the rear wheel bearings changed twice by the dealer. 4 new tyres were given to me free at 25,000 Kms. front both struts changed twice. Now they say the clutch plate needs replacement.I am planning to sell my car. good engine. I get 14 in city with AC and 16 on high way with AC at speeds touching 110 +.

I need to decide between GM Tavera & Hyundai Verna. Any suggestions.

im getting 19 on city and 22 on highway from my swift VDi. its quite good. better than indica. as its engine is using 5 jet instead of 3 jet in ord. crdi, it gives max. power and mileage.

there s no mileage diff b/w LDi and VDi, as the engine s same. the weight diff. is only 10 kg. it wont affect the mileage

The Swift diesel should drive anywhere between 13-16kmpl depending on a person's driving nature. Crusing on the highways with a steady throttle feed it should return close to 20kmpl.

i want to purchase new car which is better swift diesel,indica , logan diesel,
mileage and cost should take in acount

of course.. swift diesel.. indica is having an outdated engine with a taxi cab image.

so be wit maruti swift diesel. new high end technology with fial multiject engine with 5 jets. its turbocharged with turbo cooler. only one european hatch available in india is swift !!

have done 2200 km till now.driving only in chennai city roads.fill up diesel at shell petrol pump only. mileage is always 15 kmpl with AC never off

these are pretty good figures for the Swift.... its Petrol sibling was only criticised because of its average .... So its gr8 news for Swift lovers ! cheers...
