That indeed was spectacular. Just goes to show, that if private parties get onto organizing something and if they get adequate support from local authorities, they can do anything out here. Another extreme example was cancellation of the Metallica concert in gurgaon. Reasons are still debatable. Organizers say it was crowd that caused it, but reports are that crowd only got rough when they came to know that event has already been cancelled.
About the F1 race, just two glitches: 1. a dog on the race track on Friday and 2. a lot of dust and dirt around. While the second problem is due to the fact that it is a newly built circuit, and the grass will take its own sweet time to grow, the first glitch never should have happened. Good thing it happened right at the start of the first practice session on friday and never got repeated again.
Apart from that, India have produced probably the best rack in F1 calendar and have recorded the maximum number of spectators on a race day. In a couple of year's time, the seating capacity will be almost double. What a spectacle that would be.
