TOYOTA FORTUNER

Dear Sir, Fortuner, Avenza, Land Cruiser are all the same or different and when the toyota new vehicle is to be lauched?

all r different, fortuner is a suv, avanza is a muv & landcruiser is a hihend suv.

I believe this Model is going to be a FLOP for Toyota. Very few taker, who has a big background. US people are thinking to get rid off the BIG SUV due to the high Fuel Cost and India they are planning to Launch Full Size SUV. Many SUV in US are going on discounted price. I think this comp should think of either small car or Compact SUV.

May be another 5 yrs.

There are talks of Toyota's new MUV by the end of this year or begning of next year. Toyota is already on the front foot, with the Altis launch dates announced on 5th Sept, they will keep giving Indian customers new model gifts every 6 months or so (my hope). Things have changed from last Three years. Toyota due to many problems was dorment, but now they have taken things into their hands are in news ever few days. All the best Toyota.

Fortuner (if ever launched) will remain for the exclusive group at around 20L, but they have better smaller SUVs like RUSH, which if launched will rock in India at anywhere between 10 to 14 L.

Toyota is targeting only the rich people class people. They need to come down to the middle class people house to sell the car and get the market segment.
Toyota has only marely 3% of market segment in India. Soon some other comp may overtake this.
And what does mean by Premium Car. Is that the quality/feature of the car or Over Extended price tag.  Extra price tag gave the pinch to FABIA and almost out of the market now.

It's a 7 seater. The launch is expected  by the year end. And they plan to price it in a higher bracket than Innova but  lesser than the CRV.  So expect it to be in the range of 15 lacs.

Well the toyota India have almost confirmed the launch of this Beast , Fortuner in early next year that is 2009 , and price is expected to be aprox 15 - 18 lakhs!

today i heard that fortuner is coming in november or december this year.

Surprised to find so much interest for this car - with absolutely no cred in India(which was not the case with the pajeros and the prado's thanks to film stars).

The RAV4 is in the class of the CRV and the Fortuner set one class higher. Its highly unlikely that it will come at a price less than 20lacs.
