Sorry, no idea at all. If I learn about it, I will definetely let you know.

PSV, I've enquired with a local provider here (Bhavnagar, Gujarat).  Sunfilms of Garware Company are supposed to be of standard quality.  The cost of it is in the range of Rs.700/- to 1500/-.  Normally people go for the ones that cost between Rs.900/- to 1200/-, which also includes RTO approved ones.  Regarding the special/sensitive ones that become darker in brighter sunlight, the cost is in the range of Rs.1800/- to 2500/-.  Those are, however, not approved by RTO.

The price-quote is indeed too high.  As such, car dealers always quote much higher than outside accessory-shops.  I suggest you enquire with some non-dealer/accessory shop (reputed of course).  You can choose to settle for Garware - they are of standard quality & relatively cheaper.  In any case, it would be prudent to go for light-shade sunfilms, if not RTO approved ones, else you may face problems.

My wagon R has tinted glass. Tinted glass provides protection against UV rays? Do I still need to fix sun control film?

Tinted glass absorbs solar radiation.  However, some amount of heat does penetrate through the tinted glass by conduction & re-radiation.  Therefore, sun films will help reduce this penetration / transfer of heat.

anything mentioned on the films bundle like RTO approved or something so user is fully confident about the film which is not clear.

Clear films also help in reducing the heat? But don't help in privacy right?

Yes privacy is a problem but do we really need to that extent

Jokes apart, RTO doesn't want to give privacy inside the car for 'security reasons'.

RTO approved Sunfilm has a symbol/mark indicating 'ISO 9001 RTO approved' on its box.  Besides, it is mentioned so in the purchaser's bill.
