I have just bought a vista qdj....

After that first thing I started reserching on is the sun film as delhi's climate is similar to a desert in summers .

As my car is going to stand whole day in open parking ...and also I have to drive a long one during day time, twice a month and I though I  realy need a sun film,

I found garware ice cool grand the most heat resistive of 70%. but it has problem its only 40% vlt.   ....... I wanted to use this for side and rear mirrors but......I dont want to brake the law      50% limit.

And for front windscreen I was considering either v-kool 70 or garware icecool shield both with 70% vlt .... but v-kool 70 gives a heat rejection of 55% and wheras ice cool shield a heat rejection of 50% ...... as v-kool is comapritvly more expensive..........

But the main problem is that  at night .... pick any of the above    they give only 70% vlt ........which realy confuses me as I dont want to spend around 8000-12000 rs on sunfilms to remove after facing any of the problem at night driving ........

Therfore was needing an advice .... which film to use ......is there any other good film for windscreen which is having a vlt grater than 70% and a higher heat rejection......

or should just forget the windscreen film and use a simple manual shade cover for windscreen when parked.......

hi

i got my sun film installed on saturday. i got installed 3M-RE35. as suggested by AMI, i have visited few shops to get idea about the price. the total cost was 2800. the installation is ok upto 95%. the rear wind screen got bubbles at the bottom. the dealer said he will replace. except this rest all fine. for same product RE-35 series, the prices i heard are from 6800 to 2800.   i feel there is still scope for reduction.

Hi all

I have booked for desire VXi , Which is the best shop in Chennai for buyin & fitting sun films. Which is the best brand for sunfilms. I am planning to spend 3 to 4 thousand for windows and rear windshield.

I heard llike some sun films look very transparent from outside and just protect light radiation. Is that true?

Is it better to get it done with dealer while taking delivery of car.

30% VLT (visible light transmission) wala sun films will look like that. Still they will offer heat reduction.

No hard and fast rule like that.
